Dr. Narinder Singh inaugurates development works in Sainik Colony

Jammu, 02 May 2025:
Dr. Narinder Singh, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) RS Pura–Jammu South and National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), inaugurated newly completed development works in Sector-C of Sainik Colony. The inauguration event witnessed the presence of several prominent leaders and local residents who appreciated the efforts made to address longstanding civic issues in the area.
The works, carried out by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), were completed at an estimated cost of ₹22 lakh and include development works such as the construction of a drain and road crossing. These projects aim to ease the challenges faced by the local population due to waterlogging and poor infrastructure, thereby improving day-to-day commuting and living conditions.
Dr. Singh, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in urban areas like Sainik Colony. He stated that the projects now dedicated to public use are a testament to the BJP-led government’s commitment to holistic development and the well-being of every citizen.
He added, “The Narendra Modi government is working with a vision to ensure that basic civic amenities and infrastructure reach every household. At the local level, BJP representatives are tirelessly implementing this vision to bring development to the doorsteps of the people.”
The event was graced by District President Jammu South Naresh Singh Jasrotia, Mandal President Ajay Partap, former Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa, former Councillor Narinder Bunty, and other senior party workers and prominent locals. The collective participation underscored the BJP’s inclusive approach in addressing public issues and working towards their resolution.
Local residents expressed their gratitude to Dr. Singh and the municipal authorities for their prompt response to civic problems that had persisted for years. The newly constructed drain and road crossing are expected to significantly reduce the inconvenience faced by commuters, especially during the rainy season.

Yudhvir Sethi, Surinder Bhagat holds public darbar at BJP headquarters

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Yudhvir Sethi, Vice-President, J&K BJP and MLA from Jammu East, and Surinder Bhagat, MLA from Marh, held a public darbar at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
People from Jammu and surrounding areas visited party headquarters in the form of deputations to voice their issues and concerns to the party leadership.
Yudhvir Sethi and Surinder Bhagat gave patient hearing to each deputation, assuring them of swift and effective redressal. Many issues were resolved on the spot as the leaders contacted concerned departmental officials through phone calls and issued written directives for immediate action.
Yudhvir Sethi, while listening to the grievances, said that the BJP’s public darbar serves as a platform for transparent and direct communication between the people and their elected representatives. The deputations presented a range of civic and administrative issues, including the urgent need for the repair and construction of lanes and drains, installation and maintenance of street lights, improvement in drinking water supply, and issues related to the Revenue Department. Several grievances also highlighted the need for better implementation of welfare schemes and infrastructure development in under-served areas.
Yudhvir Sethi reiterated the BJP’s unwavering commitment to serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “BJP does not believe in mere political slogans. We stand with the people at the grassroots level, working tirelessly to facilitate development, employment opportunities, and welfare programs,” he said.
Surinder Bhagat, in his address, said that these forums allow people to directly connect with their representatives, discuss their problems without intermediaries, and become active participants in the democratic process. “The BJP is committed to taking public service beyond the election cycle. Such events reaffirm our resolve to stay connected with the people and serve them with dedication,” Bhagat said.

On April 22, 2025, a tragic terrorist attack shook the tranquil town of Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. In this cowardly act of violence, brave souls stood firm against terror to protect innocent lives. Among them was Lt. Adil Hussain, who made the ultimate sacrifice while saving tourists from the onslaught. His courage and heroism became a symbol of the unbreakable spirit of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. To honour his bravery and support his family in this time of grief, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took a significant step that truly reflects its core philosophy—"Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas."
In a touching gesture of solidarity and support, the younger brother of the martyr, Sh. Nazakat Ali, was handed an official government appointment letter.
