Why is TET Necessary for Government School Teachers in Kashmir?
Thousands of poor families in Kashmir depend on government schools because they cannot afford private education. Their children deserve qualified and competent teachers.
A serious question needs to be asked: if many government teachers do not send their own children to government schools, why should poor families be expected to trust the system without demanding better standards?
The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is not against teachers. It is a measure to ensure that those entrusted with shaping young minds have the required knowledge, skills, and teaching ability.
Education is the foundation of a child's future. Every child, regardless of family income, deserves quality education. Strengthening teacher recruitment through TET is a step toward accountability, better learning outcomes, and restoring public confidence in government schools.
"It should be mandatory for every government teacher to educate their own children and close family members in the government π school.
Quality education is a right, not a privilege.
