Pak Teen Gets 100-Year Jail Term For Killing 4 Family Members Over PUBG Game

Lahore: A Pakistani court on Wednesday sentenced a teenager to a 100-year jail term for killing his mother, a brother, and two sisters in a fit of rage over the issue of playing online PUBG games.

The incident occurred in 2022.

“Additional Sessions Judge, Lahore, Riaz Ahmed handed down 100-year imprisonment on four counts to Zain Ali, 17, and also imposed a fine of PkR 4 million for his offence,” a court official told PTI.

The court announced the verdict in light of the evidence and witnesses produced by the prosecution.

The official further said the judge in his verdict said due to his age, the suspect is awarded four life sentences -- 25 years for each murder.

A resident of a densely populated Kahna area of Lahore, Zain Ali, then 14, was a diehard PUBG player spending most of his time in his room playing the online game and often got admonished by his mother, Nahid Mubarak, for wasting time.

He often turned aggressive after failing to achieve the given targets in the game. On the day of the incident in 2022, “Zain Ali lost his senses after he missed a target while playing the game for hours and also got a snub from his mother,” police told the court.

The teenager got hold of his mother's pistol and went to her room, where she was asleep along with his two sisters. “He shot dead his mother, 45, his elder brother Taimur, 20, and two sisters, Mahnoor, 15, and Jannat, 10, influenced by the game,” police said.

The convict also confessed to his crime. (PTI)

Shocking Incident: Afghan Teen Found in Aircraft Landing Gear at Delhi Airport, Sent Back to Kabul

NEW DELHI: A 13-year-old Afghan boy’s “curiosity” brought him to Delhi from Afghanistan after he somehow managed to get inside the landing gear compartment of an aircraft that took off from Kabul, official sources said on Monday.

The incident was reported around 11 a.m. on Sunday (September 22, 2025) when KAM airlines flight number RQ-4401 reached the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport after a 2-hour journey. The teenager was, however, repatriated to Afghanistan on Sunday (September 21, 2025) itself, on the same flight, sources said.

The airline authorities reported to the airport security control room about a 13-year-old boy who was found roaming near the flight after it touched down, they said.

The boy, a native of Kunduz city, was apprehended by the airline personnel and handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force personnel, who brought him to Terminal 3 of the airport for questioning.
He told the officials that he sneaked into the Kabul airport and somehow managed to get inside the rear central landing gear compartment of the said aircraft. He said he did this out of curiosity, the sources said.
“After quizzing, the Afghan boy was sent back by the same flight that departed around 12:30 p.m.,” they said.

Security officials of the KAM airline carried out a security check of the landing gear compartment and found a small, red-coloured speaker, apparently carried by this boy.

The aircraft was declared safe after a thorough inspection and anti-sabotage checks, they said. (Agencies)

UK, Canada and Australia formally recognize a Palestinian state, breaking with the U.S.

LONDON — The United Kingdom, Canada and Australia officially recognized Palestine as a state on Sunday, marking a significant shift in foreign policy and a step away from their alignment with the United States, with several other European nations and U.S. allies set to follow suit this week.
“Today, to revive the hope of peace for the Palestinians and Israelis, and a two state solution, the United Kingdom formally recognizes the State of Palestine,” British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said in a statement.

Canada had, moments before, become the first Group of 7 nation to recognize the state of Palestine, as Prime Minister Mark Carney promised a "peaceful future for both the State of Palestine and the State of Israel."
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese released a statement shortly after formally recognizing "the independent and sovereign State of Palestine."
The move is largely symbolic, and grants the Palestinians increased diplomatic standing and the potential for treaty-making.

But it does not fundamentally change the realities on the ground in the Gaza Strip, where the humanitarian crisis continues to worsen after nearly two years of war, or the occupied West Bank, where Palestinians have come under increasing pressure from Jewish settlers and the military.

More than 65,000 people have been killed in Gaza since October 2023, including thousands of children, according to the local Palestinian health ministry, with much of the territory destroyed and the majority of the population driven from their homes, often multiple times.
Israeli strikes killed at least 34 people in Gaza City overnight, health officials said Sunday, as Israel pressed ahead with its offensive in the enclave's most populous city, where hundreds of thousands of people have been living under famine.
It's against that backdrop that a growing list of countries, many traditional backers of Israel, have said they will recognize Palestine.
The U.K. said in July it would recognize Palestine as a state unless the Israeli government “takes substantive steps to end the appalling situation" in Gaza, and its official recognition comes amid mounting international criticism of Israel over the war in the enclave.

“In the face of the growing horror in the Middle East, we are acting to keep alive the possibility of peace and of a two-state solution," added Starmer. “That means a safe and secure Israel alongside a viable Palestinian state — at the moment we have neither.”
Britain's decision has angered its close ally Israel as well as the United States, which argues that recognition emboldens extremists and rewards Hamas, the group that led the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attacks on Israel that killed some 1,200 people and left around 250 taken hostage, marking a major escalation in the decades-long conflict.

Handshake Snub Sparks Row: Pakistan Slams India, Approaches ACC

Dubai, Sept 15: Pakistan has lodged a strong protest with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) after Indian players refused to shake hands with their counterparts following the Asia Cup clash in Dubai.

In a statement, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said the behaviour was “against the spirit of the game” after India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, cruised to a seven-wicket win. Team manager Naveed Cheema filed the protest, while skipper Salman Ali Agha boycotted the post-match ceremony in retaliation.
Suryakumar defended the decision, calling it a team stand to honour the victims of the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 Indian lives. “Some things are beyond sportsmanship. We dedicate this victory to our armed forces and the families of the victims,” he said.

The refusal to shake hands was visible from the toss itself, when Suryakumar avoided interaction with Salman. The matter escalated at the end of the game, leading to Pakistan’s formal complaint.
Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson expressed disappointment, saying, “We wanted to shake hands but the opposition didn’t. Salman not coming for the presentation was a direct reaction.”
The PCB maintained that India’s conduct undermined cricket’s sportsmanship values and has asked the ACC to take note of the incident.
