Mysterious deaths in Rajouri village still unexplained: Omar Abdullah
Rajouri, Jan 21 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday provided an update on the mysterious deaths reported over the past six weeks in Budhal village, Rajouri district.
He stated that tests have ruled out bacteria or viruses as the cause, confirming no link to any disease.
Abdullah noted that all 17 fatalities occurred within three families, and the exact cause remains unclear. A central government team is assisting the local administration and police in investigating the incident.
“The health department, along with others, has been working to determine the cause since the day we received the information. A police team has also been formed to aid the investigation,” he said.
