Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh Visits Flood-Affected Areas, Directs Immediate Relief Measures

RAMGARH : Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health & Medical Education, today visited the flood-affected areas of Sanoora and Sarthia, where culverts and local infrastructure suffered extensive damage. He was accompanied by SDM Ghagwal, Executive Engineer (XEN) PWD, Tehsildar Rajpura, and BDO Rajpura.
During the visit, Dr. Manyal personally assessed the ground situation and reviewed the damages caused by the floods. Interacting with local residents, he assured them of all possible assistance and emphasized the government’s commitment to providing timely relief.
Dr. Manyal directed the administration to ensure immediate redressal of public grievances, restoration of essential services.
He stressed that only permanent and durable solutions should be implemented, rather than temporary measures, to prevent recurring hardships for the people.
He also spoke directly with officials from the Flood Control Department and instructed the XEN Flood Control and XEN PWD to jointly prepare and execute effective restoration works at the earliest.
Dr. Manyal reiterated that public welfare remains the top priority and assured continuous monitoring of the situation until normalcy is fully restored.

Residents of village Udrana have expressed strong resentment against the PHE Department Bhaderwah for laying drinking water pipes on road,The locals alleged that the unscientific laying of pipes will create inconvenience and may cause accidents. They urged the administration to intervene at the earliest and ensure the pipes are shifted properly to avoid mishaps.

To strongthen the existing framework and address the pitfalls of Human Trafficking in the digital era, Crime Branch Headquarters J&K in collaboration with MHA, GOI has conducted a UT level conference on Anti Human Trafficking today on 21.08.2025 at Tagore Hall, Srinagar to aware students in particular and public in general about the Human trafficking and its social impact. Sh. Sujit Kumar, IPS IGP Crime Branch J&K welcomed the guests/participants at the beginning. The conference was organized under the guidance idance of DIG Crime Branch, J&K and overall supervision of IGP Crime J&K. The conference was graced with the presence of Shri S.J.M Gillani- IPS Special DG Coordination P'HQ J&K as the Chief Guest who briefed the participants/ stakeholder to get together to curb the menace of Human n Trafficking. Sh. Alok Kumar, IPS ADGP Director Fire & Emergency Services, J&K, Sh.Uttam Chand, IPS IGP Hqrs. PHQ, Judicial Officers, Senior Officers from PHQ, various Govt. Deptts. Viz. Social Welfare Department. Women and Child Development Deptt., Labour Deptt. students from faculty of law Kashmir University, students from various colleges/schools, Border Guiding Officers (BSF), NGOs, Nodal Police Officers of AHTU J&K, attended the conference. Sh.Rajesh Mani Expert trainer, Human Trafficking, Consultant, India for children and Ravi Kant, Advocate Supreme Court of India, Founder Shakti Vahini and National Convener, Just Rights for Children, who participated in the conference put their valuable points/shackle on human suggestions through lectures/ PPTs to break all shackle trafficking. The conference provided a platform for stakeholder who shared their experience and expertise in combating human trafficking and identify effective strategies to prevent and support victims.
