**130 kanals state and custodian land worth crores retrieved from land encroachers and NDPS act offenders at Sikanderpur, Tehsil Bishnah, Jammu.**

November 21st: District Administration Jammu carried out anti-encroachment and demolition drive and retrieved land worth crores of rupees at village Sikanderpur, Tehsil Bishnah. The drive was carried out on the directions of District Magistrate Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas in coordination with SSP , Jammu Sh Joginder Singh.
Land measuring about 130 kanals, falling under Khasra Nos. 308, 389, 2206 had been under illegal occupation with construction of illegal structures raised by land encroachers and offenders booked under NDPS act.
The district administration has cautioned against such illegal occupation of state land and warned land encroachers that strict action shall be taken against violators. The land retrieved in todayтАЩs operation will be handed over to the concerned department and some portion will also be proposed to be utilized for Niabat, Patwar Halqa and Police Chowki.
The anti-encroachment drive was conducted under the overall supervision of SDM Jammu South, Manu Hansa and Superintendent of Police HQ Jammu, Irshad Rather in presence of Tehsildar Bishnah, Ankush Tripathi, SDPO R.S Pura, Gurmeet Singh, Rakesh Jamwal, SHO Bishnah and other officials from Revenue and Police departments.

In a major breakthrough, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) recovered an AK-47 rifle, pistol rounds, and 3 lever grenades during a raid at the Kashmir Times newspaper office in Jammu.

The search operation, which began this morning, is still underway as investigators continue to examine the premises for further evidence.

In a major action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Jammu Police, South Zone has attached/seized moveable property i-e Scorpio S11 bearing registration number JK08G 3535 of Vishal Kumar valued approximately тВ╣15 Lakhs under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act.

The accused Vishal Kumar S/O Ram Singh R/O Boot Polish Mohalla Rajiv Nagar, Narwal Distt Jammu is involved in FIR No. 295/2025 under Sections 8/21/22/25/27A/29 NDPS Act & 111 BNS registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.

The attachment of the property was executed by the Investigating Officer, IC PP Narwal, in accordance with the provisions of the NDPS Act. The order of attachment was issued as part of the proceedings under the said Act.

Whole operation is conducted under the Supervision of SSP Jammu and the direct guidance of SP City South, SDPO City East and SHO PS Bahu Fort.

Jammu Police reiterates its firm commitment towards eradicating the drug menace from society and will continue to take strict action against offenders under the law.

**Jammu (Rural) Police Solves Baglamukhi Temple Theft Case: Accused Woman Arrested, Stolen Valuables Recovered.**

*Jammu,20 Nov 2025*

Jammu (Rural) Police have successfully solved a theft case reported from Baglamukhi Mandir in a swift and professional manner. The case came to light after temple Pujari Keshav Verma reported the theft of gold ornaments, silver ornaments, and cash by an unknown woman.

Following the complaint, *FIR No.242/2025 was registered at Police Station Domana.* During the investigation, police team headed by *SHO Domana, Insp. Varuneshwar Singh assisted by PSI Amit Roshan* meticulously analyzed CCTV footage and acted on reliable inputs to identify the suspect.

The accused was traced and arrested. She has been identified as *Rashmi Rattan,Resident of Nitco Lane, Talab Tillo, Jammu.*

Stolen items, including gold ornaments, silver ornaments, and cash, were recovered from her possession.

The swift and effective action by Jammu (Rural) Police reflects their strong commitment to safeguarding religious institutions and maintaining public trust. Further investigation is ongoing.

**SSP Kathua undertook comprehensive ground review of anti infiltration grid**

To review operational preparedness in Lower Kathua , SSP Kathua Mohita Sharma , IPS accompanied by SP(Operations) Mukund Tibrewal, IPS , SDPO Border Dheeraj Katoch, DSP(ops) Pushpa and other officers visited remote villages & security camps in jurisdiction of Hiranagar & Rajbagh.

SSP visited Outpost Malaman & Outpost Chingara of Police Station Rajbagh , and interacted with personnel deployed there. She was briefed about past infiltration routes, existing Village Defense Guards(VDGs) and other important landmarks in the area. Further SSP directed all personnel, to keep close watch on OGWs , to maintain proper record of movement of migratory population and to identify more volunteers who can be further inducted in VDG scheme.

She also visited infiltration prone areas of Pacca Kota , Parangoli , Mangloor & Saida. Here she interacted with SOG & CRPF personnel, who were undertaking Cordon & Search operations in nearby forest areas. She reviewed arms , ammutions and other ancillary equipmentтАЩs available with the force and directed them to continue Long Range Patrols(LRPs) with twin objective of improving local outreach and increasing terrain familiarity.

Further SSP visited also visited Baba Sidh Goriya temple cm forest, here she interacted with locals and was briefed about infiltration routes in Kamad forest area. She directed local officers to conduct frequent village level PCPG meetings so as to improve police public connect , given the remoteness of area.

SSP Kathua reiterates that Kathua Police is committed to maintaining peace and security across the district and that there will be no leniency towards any anti-national elements.
