*DGP J&K visits forward areas in Border district Kathua to review Border Security

Today on 30/08/25 , DGP J&K Sh Nalin Prabhat , IPS along with DIG JSK , Sh Shiv Kumar Sharma IPS , SSP Kathua Sh Shobhit Saxena IPS along with other officers of J&K police visited Border District Kathua , to review the border security amid damage caused by incessant flooding. Also visited Lakhanpur Madhopur Bridges damaged due floods SSP pathankot , SP Traffic Punjab also joined during the visit of DGP JK.

DGP J&K was briefed at BSF BOP by senior officers of BSF regarding loss of property at international border. He also visited forward areas to firsthand witness the damage caused. He interacted with BSF personnel involved in relief and rescue efforts.

Further DGP visited Sahar Khad bridge and Lakahnpur Madhopur bridge on NH44, which have been damaged due to flash floods. He reviewed traffic situation on Punjab Border & interacted with NHAI official vis a vis restoration work.

Lastly , DGP J&K held a meeting with seniors officers of BSF , CRPF & J&K police , he stressed on importance of maintaining strict vigil in border areas. He reiterated that J&K police stands firmly with all sister agencies so as to further strengthen border security.

On the directions of DGP JK Sh Nalin Parbhat IPS and IGP Jammu Zone Sh. Bhim Sen Tuti IPS, Today Shiv Kumar Sharma IPS DIG JKS Range, RPHQ Jammu visited Kathua District and conducted joint inspection, review , planning, and restoration of Traffic on the NHW which has been disrupted due to Collapse of Logate More NHW Bridge , SSP Kathua Shobit Saxena IPS, SSP Traffic Rural Girdhari Lal JKPS, Commandant IRP 18th Atul Sharma JKPS, were also present during the inspection of NHW Logate More Bridges ,and alternative routes identification for Traffic restoration on Jammu kathua Road.
2. DPL Kathua conference , A High level coordination meeting was also held with NHAI Officers, DC Kathua , SSP Kathua,COMMANDANT CRPF kathua ,SSP Traffic Rural, SDRF Officers, SDPOs ,SHOs ,DTI Traffic and other stake-holders to streamline the Jammu Pathankot Highway Traffic and to facilitate tourist, Patients,Ambulance, Essential services. All officers were directed to activate their Control room , Feild Staff, for better coordination and facilitation of General Public on Jammu Kathua Road .
