28 police officers from J&K inducted in IPS*

Srinagar, Sep 29 : As many as 28 police officers from Jammu & Kashmir have been inducted in the prestigious Indian Police Service (IPS).

As per news agency the Union Home Ministry on Friday issued a notification regarding appointment of 28 local officers in IPS. These officers have been alloted AGMUT cadre

*Special TADA court rejects bail of JKLF, Hurriyat activists arrested in Srinagar hotel raid*

Srinagar, Sept 25: A TADA court has rejected the bail plea of around a dozen Hurriyat and JKLF activists who were booked under UAPA recently after arresting them in a raid on a Hotel in Srinagar.

Reports said special TADA Court has rejected the bail application of 10 activists of JKLF and Hurriyat who were arrested and booked under UAPA recently

They were arrested in July this year after a police spokesperson said that search was conducted on basis of credible info about meeting of some ex-trts of JKLF & erstwhile separatists in a hotel in Srinagar.

They were brought to Kothibagh PS for verification. Inquiry has started, prima facie it came out that they were planning to revive JKLF & hurriyat,” a spokesperson then added on X.

*Govt terminates services of two doctors..*

JAMMU, Sept, 23 ÷ The Jammu and Kashmir Government today ordered termination of the services of two doctors with immediate effect.

The services of both the doctors were terminated for their un-authoriesed absence from their duties where they were posted.

As per the details the services of Dr Asim Shameen Zaz, who was appointed as Medical officer and submitted a leave application to the CMO, Budgam for grant of 89 days to attend a marriage function in Canada, but after the lapse of leave, the doctor did not rejoin the duties.

Meanwhile, in another order, the Jammu and Kashmir Government today also terminated the services of Dr Kawaldeep Kour, Medical Officer and she submitted an application for sanctioning of study leave for duration of one year to GMC, Baramulla, but after the lapse of her leave, she did not rejoin her duties.

Orders for the termination of their services were issued by Bhupinder Kumar, Secretary to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir....

Police arrests KPS officer Sheikh Adil in Srinagar

Srinagar, Sep 21: Srinagar police on Thursday arrested a DySp rank officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police for various charges.

Reports reaching KDC said that a team of Srinagar police on Tuesday searched the residence of DySp identified as Sheikh Aadil Mushtaq (KPS) near BSNL exchange Sanathnagar Srinagar.

If sources are to be believed “Some documents and a laptop, besides other electronic devices were seized and the officer was questioned in a case.”

On Thursday, the officer according to Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com was formally arrested by Srinagar police under FIR no 149 0f 2023 under section 167, 193, 201, 210, 218, 221 of Indian penal Code and 7, 7 A corruption Act at police Station Nowgam and further investigation has been set into motion.

*SAMBA POLICE WORKED OUT SERIAL THEFT CASES OF SUPWAL, APPREHENDED 3 NOTORIOUS THIEVES*

*130 Thieves Arrested, 68 Theft Cases Worked Out In Eight Months : SSP Samba Benam Tosh*

Samba, September 14 : Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, police has worked out serial theft cases of Supwal Samba and apprehended three notorious thieves.

The apprehended thieves have been identified as : Akash Masih s/o Gulzar Masih r/o Gurdaspur, Punjab A/P Kalibari Kathua, Jagdeep Kumar alias Baluna s/o Madan Lal r/o Daghore tehsil Vijaypur District Samba and one more thief.

Three cases FIR No. 220/2023 u/s 457, 380 IPC, P/S Samba, FIR No.221/2023 u/s 457, 380, 427 IPC, P/S Samba & FIR No. 127/2023 u/s 457, 380, 511 IPC, P/S Vijaypur registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Supwal and Police Station Vijaypur have been worked out, three thieves have been apprehended so far & some of the stolen items have been recovered. All other accused involved in the serial thefts committed at the separate houses of two BSF jawans posted outside the UT & one shop have been identified & booked and raids are being conducted to arrest them.

Out of the three notorious thieves, two have been apprehended by Police Post Supwal whereas one notorious thief namely Jagdeep Kumar has been arrested by Police Station Vijaypur. Jagdeep is involved in atleast four FIRs registered against him at Police Station Samba and Vijaypur.

The three notorious thieves have been apprehended by police teams comprising of SHO Police Station Samba Daljit Singh, SHO Police Station Vijaypur Sandeep Charak and Incharge Police Post Supwal ASI Balbir Kumar under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that one hundred thirty (130) thieves have been arrested and sixty-eight (68) theft cases worked out by Samba police in eight months and huge stolen property including cash, gold and silver ornaments have been recovered. Police is conducting indepth investigations with utmost sincerity in all theft cases and fastly heading towards solving all under investigation theft cases in the district.

*Day after Jammu bandh, detained YRS leaders released*

Jammu, Aug 27 Jammu and Kashmir Police have released 26 Yuva Rajputa Sabha leaders, who were detained on August 21 during a protest in favour of suspension of toll collection at Sarore Plaza on Jammu-Pathankot highway due to poor road conditions and a damaged bridge at Dayalachak.

The development comes a day after Jammu observed complete shutdown on Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s call in solidarity with the detained YRS leaders.

Official sources told that YRS leaders were released in wee hours from Kathua Jail and were taken to their respective homes in police vehicles.

“Most of the leaders were escorted back to their native place in police vehicles while many were still on their way,” they said.

Earlier, Police had said that the arrested persons will only be released after surety from prominent members of the civil society that they won’t cause any further breach of peace.

Jammu, Aug 18 :- National Investigation Agency on Friday conducted raid at Bathindi Jammu and seized some important document today at around 0530 hr a team of NIA raided the house of one Doctor Parvez Ahmad Naz son of Md Sharif Naz resident of Gandoh, District Doda & presently staying in Peer Bagh Colony, Bathindi, Jammu.

It is suspected that the said doctor is using some banned apps in his mobile and is in touch with Pakistan based numbers,he said .

They said that the team of NIA took some increment documents along with them from the house of said suspect.

They added that Parvez Ahmad Naz was not at home when the said raid was carried out and it is said that he was shifted in District Doda where he is serving as a doctor.
