Kathua Firing Incident

Four CISF personnel were killed following a firing incident at the Sewa Project in Mashka, under Police Station Basholi in Kathua district.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred following an alleged altercation among CISF personnel. The injured personnel were shifted to NHPC Hospital in Himachal Pradesh, where all four later succumbed to their injuries.

Deceased:
1. Assistant Commandant Ankit Kumar Pandey
2. SI Lakshman Singh
3. Constable Rafiq Ahmed
4. Constable Sandeep Kumar

The suspected accused, identified as CISF personnel Abhidesh Singh, has been arrested. Police have reached the spot and secured the area.

*MLA Iftikhar Ahmed Raises Key Issues of Rajouri in Assembly*

MLA Iftikhar Ahmed today raised several key issues concerning *Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU)*, demanding increased financial support for the university, appointment of a *permanent Registrar*, and timely promotions for both teaching and non-teaching staff.

He also pressed for the establishment of *Cath Lab and MRI facilities at Government Medical College (GMC), Rajouri*, highlighting the need to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the district.

Iftikhar Ahmed also criticised *LoP Sunil Sharma*, stating that although the Leader of Opposition visited different districts of J&K ahead of the Assembly session to hear public grievances, he has, according to Ahmed, failed to raise any such issue during the ongoing Assembly session.

BJP wants a debate and Statehood is BJP's agenda which we are committed to implement, but Omar Abdullah's Govt wants to prolong and sabotage it. Why rake up Pre-1953 and separate Constitution?
