Two drug peddlers arrested, 2.05 Kg “Ganja-like Substance” recovered by R.S. Pura Police Station, Jammu.
Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and substance abuse, the R.S. Pura Police Station achieved a breakthrough by arresting two drug peddlers and recovering a large quantity of “ganja-like substance” from their possession.
During routine patrolling near Government Higher Secondary School, Chakrohi, a police team from Police Station R.S. Pura, led by SHO R.S. Pura , intercepted two suspicious individuals. On being stopped and frisked, 2.05 kilograms of a “ganja-like substance” was recovered from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Gourav Bhagat alias Gharu, son of Kuldeep Raj, resident of Ban Sultan, Miran Sahib, and Avinash Kumar alias Tempo, son of Mulkh Raj, resident near Chandi Mata Mandir, Chakrohi, Tehsil Suchetgarh, District Jammu.
In this connection, a formal case has been registered under FIR No. 114/2025 at Police Station R.S. Pura under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act (Sections 8/20/29). Both accused persons were immediately taken into custody and further investigation is in progress.
Police Party led by Inspector R S Parihar SHO PS R S Pura and assisted by PSI Majid Shafi I/C BPP Chakrohi made the arrests/recoveries under the supervision of SDPO R S Pura,SP headquarters Jammu & SSP Jammu.
