*Open bid auction for unserviceable stock items conducted by DS&E Office Rajouri*

RAJOURI, JULY 26: An open bid auction for unserviceable stock items was successfully conducted today in the premises of the District Statistics & Evaluation Officer (DSEO) Rajouri.

The auction was carried out as per due procedure of GFR 2017 and transparency norms, attracting participation from registered scrap dealers.

The auction was held in compliance with the public notice issued through print media with three scrap dealers taking part in the bidding process.

The auction proceedings were conducted in the presence of all members of the designated Auction Committee, headed by the District Statistics & Evaluation Officer. After a fair and competitive bidding process, M/s Gudia Kapoor, Verma Two Brothers Traders emerged as the highest bidder, quoting a final price of Rs. 40,000/- plus TCS @1%.

Following the conclusion of the auction and fulfillment of requisite formalities, the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) has been issued in favour of the highest bidder.

SUNDERBANI, JULY 26: As part of ongoing preparations for the Budda Amarnath Yatra, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today visited Sunderbani to take stock of the arrangements at Yatra Ground and Yatra Bhawan there.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed key facilities including drinking water supply, electricity, sanitation facilities including provision of bio-toilets, CCTV camera surveillance and street lighting. He stressed the need for ensuring cleanliness, uninterrupted utility services, and security measures at the Yatra venues.

Referring to the unpredictable weather conditions, the DC directed the concerned officers to make foolproof alternative arrangements in case of rainfall, so that the pilgrims do not face any inconvenience during their stay and movement.

The other day, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed similar arrangements at Yatra Ground Rajouri as part of a comprehensive district-wide readiness assessment for the Budda Amarnath Yatra.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to work in close coordination and complete the necessary arrangements well in time, ensuring that all facilities are in place before the arrival of pilgrims. He also instructed the officers to remain available on ground during the Yatra to address any emerging issues promptly.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunderbani Ramkesh Sharma; SE PHE Devraj Bhagat; Executive Engineer PWD Sarwar Mehmood; Executive Engineer PDD Abdul Rasheed; Executive Engineer PHE, EO Municipality, CMO and other district and sectoral officers.

*Mission YUVA: Loan sanction letters handed over to 29 beneficiaries at Nowshera*

NOWSHERA, JULY 25: In a significant move aimed at youth empowerment and employment generation, the Jammu and Kashmir Bank Zonal Office Rajouri marked “Big Login Day” under the Mission YUVA initiative of the J&K UT Government at a special function held today at Dak Bungalow Nowshera.

During the ceremony, 29 sanction letters were formally handed over to the beneficiaries by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pritam Lal Thapa. The event witnessed the presence of Zonal Head Rajouri Satish Kumar, Assistant General Manager Sanjeev Datta, Mohinder Kumar, CDPO Nowshera, Kumar Gokul, BDO Nowshera, and several other bank officials and dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, the ADC lauded the initiative and the role played by J&K Bank in the implementation of Mission YUVA. He highlighted the importance of such programs in tackling youth unemployment by encouraging self-employment and entrepreneurship. Thapa also emphasized the need for coordinated efforts between the Employment Department and JK Bank to ensure the scheme’s successful ex*****on.

Zonal Head Satish Kumar and AGM Sanjeev Datta reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to extending all possible support to the youth under the scheme and aligned with the government’s vision of economic empowerment.

Rajouri Admin, ALIMCO organise Special Camp for Left-Out PwDs and Senior Citizens

RAJOURI, JULY 25: The District Administration Rajouri in collaboration with Artificial Limb Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) today organised a special registration camp for left-out Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and Senior Citizens at Dak Bungalow Rajouri.

The camp was inaugurated by Chairperson District Development Council (DDC) Rajouri, Advocate Naseem Liaqat. He lauded the efforts of the Social Welfare Department and the district administration for reaching out to the most vulnerable sections of society.

The District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Abdul Raheem briefed the Chairperson and attendees about the objective of the camp. He informed that the initiative aims to identify and register left-out eligible beneficiaries under the government-sponsored social security and welfare schemes, such as pension schemes, UDID cards, and assistive aids support.

A number of beneficiaries from different parts of the district participated in the camp and were registered on the spot. The officials also facilitated on-site documentation, provided information about available welfare schemes, and extended assistance in application processing.

The Chairperson interacted with the attendees and assured them of the administration's commitment to inclusive development and ensuring that no eligible citizen is left out of government support mechanisms.

The camp witnessed participation from field functionaries of the Social Welfare Department and representatives from allied departments who facilitated the smooth conduct of the event.

The District Administration reiterated its commitment to hold more such camps in other parts of the district through the Social welfare department along with ALIMCO to cover all left-out beneficiaries and ensure equitable access to welfare entitlements.

Kalakote, 25-07-2025 — A significant meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti was held today at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Kalakote with the objective of reviewing and strengthening healthcare infrastructure and service delivery across the block.

The meeting was chaired by the Honourable Member of Legislative Assembly Kalakote-Sunderbani and Chairman of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Thakur Randhir Singh. The session featured a detailed PowerPoint presentation by Dr. Iqbal Malik, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kalakote, and was attended by key administrative and medical officials, along with members of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti Kalakote.

During the meeting, Dr. Malik presented a comprehensive report highlighting the block’s healthcare achievements, including the number of surgeries performed, emergency and accident cases managed, and other essential services rendered at CHC Kalakote.

Thakur Randhir Singh underscored the importance of meticulous documentation and regular updates of such records to ensure transparency and accountability within all health institutions.

Key infrastructural issues were discussed extensively, including the need for a special water connection from the Mehari water tank, increasing the borewell depth at CHC Kalakote, and the non-functional solar plant due to damaged batteries. Concerns were also raised about vacant posts for specialist doctors, medical officers, and paramedics, as well as the requirement for tile work and blacktopping of hospital pathways. Other challenges related to electricity, plumbing, and overall maintenance were addressed.

Expressing serious concern over irregular water supply at CHC Kalakote, Thakur Singh urged the concerned departments to treat this as an urgent priority and resolve it within a stipulated timeframe to prevent disruption in patient services.

“Healthcare is not just a service but a responsibility,” Thakur Randhir Singh stated. “Every officer and stakeholder must approach their duties with utmost commitment and seriousness.” He also appreciated the efforts of BMO Dr. Iqbal Malik for his dedication to improving health services in the block.

The meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalakote, Dr. Mohd Tanwir (JKAS), Dr wasim Chouhan and distinguished members of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti including Ex Deputy Director Muhammad Iqbal, Advocate Vinod Sharma, Dr. Ashok Sharma, Surinder Kumar Sharma, Sardari Lal Raina,Sardar Amreek Singh, Sh. *DC Rajouri inspects arrangements at Yatri Ground, chairs review meeting*

RAJOURI, JULY 25: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today conducted an extensive inspection of the arrangements being put in place here at Yatri Ground for the Budha Amarnath Yatra pilgrims. He also chaired a review meeting at the venue to ensure seamless coordination among departments and timely completion of all preparations.

The Deputy Commissioner took stock of key facilities including water supply, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation and the installation of bio-toilets. He directed for separate signages for male and female facilities to ensure convenience and orderliness for the yatris.

Special emphasis was laid on the fire safety audit of the venue. The concerned officers were instructed to ensure all precautionary measures are taken and necessary equipment is placed at strategic locations.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed pruning of trees in and around the venue area to avoid any safety hazards. The availability of ambulances, deployment of medical teams, preparation of duty rosters, and deployment of AYUSH instructors were also reviewed to ensure robust health and wellness support to the pilgrims.

The BRO has been assigned the responsibility to maintain roads and ensure the Nowshera tunnel remains operational during the daytime, which is vital for smooth transportation.

To maintain traffic flow, the Traffic Police will regulate vehicular movement and oversee parking arrangements. The SDRF teams will be deployed at designated locations to respond swiftly in case of any emergency situations.

Furthermore, the Department of Tourism was directed to install informative and welcome hoardings at prominent locations.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon all departments to work in close coordination and complete all assigned tasks well before the scheduled date of the Yatra to ensure a safe, comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience for the pilgrims.

Among others present during the inspection and review meeting were ADC Chander Prakash; ACR Mohammad Jahangir Khan; ACD Auqil Naveed; Executive Engineer PWD Aftab Anwar; Ex En PDD, Ex En PHE, Dy. SP Satish Sharma; Deputy SP Traffic Shiv Kumar; Dy Controller SDRF, Jabeen Lone, ARTO Rajesh Gupta; CMO Dr Manohar Lal Rana; AD FCS&CA Rohit Kumar and Executive Officer Municipality Yusaf ul Umar, along with other district and sectoral officers. Besides these, prominent citizens and representatives from civil society were also present at the venue.
