National Health Mission J&K has approved a 5% increment for all contractual employees at State, Divisional, District & Block levels (including NUHM & Disease Control Programmes) for FY 2025-26.
Effective dates:
1 April 2025 – for staff with 1 year service by 31 Mar 2025
1 Oct 2025 – for staff completing 1 year by 30 Sept 2025
1 Apr 2026 – for staff completing 1 year after Sept 2025

Youth Empowerment Society Reaches Jammu to Support Flood-Impacted Families

The Youth Empowerment Society (YES), a non-governmental organisation from Kashmir, has deployed a team to the Jammu region to support families affected by the recent floods. The group’s initiative brings a much-needed response to several communities that faced substantial challenges due to the adverse weather conditions.

Upon arrival, the YES team provided essential relief kits to residents in Gujjar Nagar, Peer Kho, Mangu Chak, and Nandwal, reaching a total of 250 families. The society has prioritised immediate needs and plans to continue its efforts in the coming days by organising free medical check-up camps as well as health awareness activities aimed at preventing post-flood illnesses.

The YES relief mission is being directed by Advocate Jasmeet Singh, who serves as the organisation’s legal advisor. Other key members of the team include Pardeep Singh Dardi, a founder member, along with Ravinder Singh, Akriti, Rayam Gupta, Rishab, Dr. Kulbeer Singh Badal, and the youngest volunteer on the ground, Ekam Singh.

The organisation acknowledged the vital support of donors whose assistance has enabled the team to respond promptly and meaningfully to the needs in Jammu. YES remains committed to offering sustained support and fostering recovery in partnership with the community.
