Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) shares:
I was pleased to attend the 38th Annual General Convention of the All India Tamang Buddhist Association, Central Committee.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the convention was more than a yearly meeting—it was a celebration of the Tamang community’s rich history, strong values, and shared journey. He highlighted the important role the Tamang community has played in shaping the social, cultural, and spiritual life of the nation, guided by Buddhist principles such as compassion, harmony, and peaceful coexistence.
He appreciated the Association for its continuous efforts in spreading Buddhism, preserving the Tamang language, culture, and traditions, and promoting unity among Tamangs across the country. The Chief Minister also praised the release of the magazine “Phyaphulo,” calling it a valuable step toward preserving history and creating cultural awareness for future generations.
The active participation of youth and artists, he said, showed a promising future that balances tradition with progress. He thanked the organizers, scholars, volunteers, and all contributors for their dedication in making the convention successful.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for the invitation and extended his best wishes to the All India Tamang Buddhist Association for continued progress and success.
