Bill Gates told the House Oversight Committee in a closed-door interview that he had engaged in three extramarital affairs and acknowledged that he may have been around some of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims. The transcript, released publicly on Tuesday, provides new details about Gates’ past relationship with Epstein, which he described as strictly professional and lasting about three years. Gates said his interactions with Epstein were unrelated to Epstein’s criminal activities.
The testimony also identified two women with whom Gates admitted having relationships: Alice Jacobs Nesselrodt, a medical entrepreneur and Harvard Medical School graduate, and Karima Nigmatulina, a Russian nuclear scientist. Gates expressed regret for the impact of his actions on his family. The disclosures have renewed public scrutiny of Gates’ past association with Epstein and the circumstances surrounding their relationship.
