Early Life
He grew up in a farming family in Moosa village. That's where his stage name "Moose Wala" comes from. He did his schooling in Mansa, then went to Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana for an Electrical Engineering degree. During college he got into music production and singing.
He moved to Canada in 2016 to study music. That's where he started writing and recording.
Music Career
*2017*: Debut song _G Wagon_ + _So High_ with producer Byg Byrd. _So High_ blew up and made him famous overnight.
*2018-2020*: Dropped hits like _Issa Jatt_, _Dollar_, _Just Listen_, _East Side Flow_. Signed with labels like T-Series and his own label _Sidhu Moosewala Productions_.
*2021*: Released album _Moosetape_. 32 tracks, all charted on Billboard Global. It was massive.
*Style*: Mixed Punjabi folk instruments with hip-hop beats. Lyrics about village life, politics, youth, and pride. That deep voice + raw Punjabi became his signature.
Politics
In 2021 he joined the Indian National Congress and contested the 2022 Punjab Assembly election from Mansa. He didn't win, but he was very vocal about social issues in his songs.
Legacy
On May 29, 2022, he was shot in his car near his village. He was 28.
After his death, his music streams exploded. Songs like _295_, _The Last Ride_, and _SYL_ became anthems. Unreleased tracks still come out through his team and family.
He’s credited with taking Punjabi rap global — collabs, Billboard charts, sold-out tours in Canada, UK, Australia.
