In the quiet corners of our society, many differently-abled children and their families hold onto small, heartfelt dreams that often go unfulfilled due to financial barriers and social isolation.

The Make a Wish Project 2026 by Better Life Foundation India is changing that. Through our "Wish Post Boxes" installed at special schools, we are giving these children a voice to express their biggest aspirations—no matter how "impossible" they may seem.

But this isn’t just about the children. It’s about the "backbone of dreamers"—the mothers and caregivers who dedicate their lives to 24/7 care, often at the cost of their own well-being. We believe joy is a vital part of rehabilitation.

The Make a Wish project, an initiative by the Better Life Foundation India, is a life-altering program dedicated to transforming the suppressed dreams of differently-abled children and their families into unforgettable realities.

Operating across South India, the project addresses the "double disadvantage" faced by children in low-income backgrounds who deal with both physical limitations and financial hardships.

At the heart of the initiative is the "Wish Post Box," installed at special schools and therapy centers, where children are encouraged to write down or draw their aspirations, regardless of how "impossible" they may seem.

By identifying eligible families and creating meaningful pathways to turn these dreams into lived experiences, the project aims to break barriers of social isolation and provide vital emotional relief to dedicated mothers and caregivers.

Ultimately, "Make a Wish" serves as a collective social responsibility to remind every child that their voice deserves to be heard and that their dreams truly matter.

She could not see the law books. But she could see justice—clearly.

At just 24, Thanya Nathan C. is set to make history as Kerala’s first fully visually impaired woman judge.

Born with no light perception, Thanya studied law through Braille texts, screen-reading technology, and unwavering determination. She topped her LLB at , began legal practice in Taliparamba, and never allowed accessibility barriers to define her limits.

Her journey gained momentum after a landmark 2025 ruling by the , which affirmed that persons with visual impairment cannot be deemed “unsuitable” for judicial service and must be given equal opportunity.

Now, after clearing the Kerala Judicial Service Examination and securing top rank in the benchmark disability category, Thanya is preparing to take her place on the bench.

“Technology has come to the aid of people like me,” she shared with , acknowledging challenges—but expressing confidence in overcoming them.

This is more than a personal milestone.
It is a redefinition of ability, access, and justice in India’s legal system.

Because sometimes, the strongest vision is not in the eyes—but in conviction.
