Jemimah Rodrigues Leads India to Historic Win Over Australia, Secures Spot in Women’s World Cup Final

India Women stormed into the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025-26 final after defeating defending champions Australia in a thrilling semi-final at Navi Mumbai on Thursday. The victory marks one of India’s greatest performances in women’s cricket history, powered by a sensational unbeaten century from Jemimah Rodrigues.

Batting first, Australia posted a challenging 338-run total, led by opener Phoebe Litchfield’s brilliant hundred and solid contributions from Ellyse Perry and Ashleigh Gardner. Despite the imposing score, India showed no signs of panic during the chase.

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (89) and Jemimah Rodrigues (127 not out) built a match-defining 167-run partnership that completely turned the game around. Rodrigues’s elegant stroke play and composure under pressure guided India home with nine balls remaining, sealing the highest successful chase in Women’s World Cup knockout history.

An emotional Rodrigues, named Player of the Match, said, “It feels surreal. Beating Australia and taking India to the final is a dream come true.”

Australia’s captain Alyssa Healy admitted her side failed to capitalise on their early advantage. “We dropped crucial chances, didn’t bowl to our plans, and Jemimah made us pay,” she said.

With this win, India have reached the Women’s World Cup final for the third time, setting up a grand finale clash against South Africa. A new world champion will be crowned as India aim to lift the trophy for the first time in their history.

“Listen, Listen, Listen”: Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Eternal Call for Inner Awakening

Delhi : On the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birth anniversary, spiritual thinker MAAsterG reflected on the deeper meaning behind Guru Sahib’s timeless words — “Suniye, Suniye, Suniye” — a repeated plea to humanity to truly listen.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru, emphasized that real listening goes beyond hearing with the outer ears. What is heard through the senses belongs to the world of maya, but the Guru’s words arose from the realm of the soul — from the inner consciousness. For thirty-six years, after his divine experience in the Kali Bein river, Guru Nanak Dev Ji shared the truth of Sachkhand (the Realm of Truth). Yet, MAAsterG notes, despite outward devotion, few could hear him from that inner stillness — the Anhad Naad, the unstruck eternal sound.

“Outwardly, everyone was listening,” he said, “but inwardly, no one connected with that eternal vibration. That is why Guru Sahib kept saying, ‘Suniye, Suniye, Suniye.’”

MAAsterG reminded followers that the essence of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings lies in mastering the mind: “Man jeeta, jag jeeta” — one who conquers the mind conquers the world. True listening transforms the mind, freeing it from greed, pride, and desire.

He urged devotees to look within as they celebrate: “Outside there is joy, but inside there should be reflection — has our mind become steady?” Each word of Japji Sahib and the Mool Mantra, he said, is a jewel, but their value is realized only when truly heard.

Quoting from Gurbani — “Mati vich ratan jawahar manik je ik guru ki sikh suni” — he explained that even one true teaching of the Guru can fill the mind with divine jewels.

MAAsterG concluded that “Suniye” is not merely hearing but an invitation to awaken the soul. The true tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji is not in rituals but in deep listening — where the restless mind becomes still, and stillness itself becomes divine.

His talks on Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s wisdom are freely available on his YouTube channel “MAAsterG,” where he promises that by listening to just 3–30 lectures, one can experience a profound transformation in life.

Teen Relative of J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha Dies by Su***de in Kanpur, Leaves Note Claiming He Was “Haunted by Spirits”

Kanpur — A 16-year-old boy, identified as Aarav Mishra, a distant relative of Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, was found dead at his home in Old Kanpur on Monday. Police said the teenager died by su***de and left behind a note stating that he was being “haunted by spirits.”

According to the Kohna Police, Aarav’s body was discovered hanging in his room by his grandmother after repeated calls went unanswered. His parents were away in Bhagalpur for Chhath Puja, and his sister was attending college at the time.

In his note, Aarav reportedly wrote that unseen forces were tormenting him and urging him either to harm his family or take his own life.
