Sheikh Nasir, Additional General Secretary, J&K PDP, has said that after his statement both the NC and the BJP were shaken out of their slumber. However, instead of taking concrete measures to restore the drinking water supply, the NC, like the BJP, has indulged in blame-game politics. Such tactics achieve nothing and are merely an attempt to mislead the innocent public.

He further said that the Jal Shakti Department is under the control of the NC, and they cannot escape their responsibilities merely by issuing statements. “The people of Kishtwar deserve solutions, not excuses,” he added.
