"Edappalayam Nights" collaborates with local tribal communities, creating new employment opportunities and showcasing their traditional lifestyles. This initiative allows visitors to appreciate the culture and the natural beauty of the region, creating a deep connection between nature and the community.
Two rooms within the Edappalayam Annex building are available for guests, offering activities like trekking, boating, bird watching, tent camping, stargazing, and dining experiences. Accommodation for one night is provided at a rate of ₹10,000 per room for two people. Additional guests are allowed, with a maximum capacity of three people per room, and an extra charge of ₹2,500 per person.

Program Operation
Guests should arrive at the Boat Landing by 1.00 PM, where they will be escorted to Edappalayam by boat with an armed guard and two guides. Guests are welcomed with a drink upon arrival and guided to "Ayyappan Kurukku" for a trekking experience, followed by refreshments. They can enjoy the sounds and sights of nocturnal wildlife. A reading platform overlooking Periyar Lake is available for those interested.
The dinner menu includes vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, featuring chapati, chicken or vegetable curry, white rice, dal, salad, yogurt, fruit, and dessert.
Morning Program
Morning coffee is served at 6.00 AM, followed by forest walk around Edappalayam IB. Breakfast is served from 8:30-9.00 AM, after which guests may stay until check-out at 11:15 AM and can opt for a boat ride on Thekkady Lake.
