On the directions of DC Anantnag, Dr Syed Fakhurdin Hamid, IAS, a surprise check was conducted by SDM Kokernag upon various drug retailers in Kokernag. The availability of CCTV, schedule H Drug registers and other parameters was checked by the SDM. the retailers were advised to inculcate a sense of responsibility towards sale and upkeep of such drugs and also to suo moto report any suspicious activity to police and administration. They were also dorected to increase the storage capacity of their CCTV recording. DCO Anantnag was also telephonically consulted to give his expert opinion in the surprise check which was done upon over half a dozen shops. Such checks shall be regularly conducted to curb illegal sales and Narco addiction especially in the youth at Kokernag.

SHO Kokernag extend Eid ul Fitr greeting to people of J&K

Extending greetings on Eid ul fitr occasion SHO Kokernag Nisar Hurra has said that the pious occasion of Eid ul Fitr is unique and very pious, sending the message of peace and harmony amongst every section of people living in the world. He said that This is the day to rededicate ourself to the service of humanity as taught by the Prophet.”
Nisar Hurra hoped that the festival spirit will strengthen the spirit of generosity and bring people closer to one another, binding them in brotherhood, love and mutual respect.
