πΏ Paruppu Vadai β the crunchy, spicy lentil fritter thatβs a South Indian favorite! Perfect for evening snacks, festive days, or with hot chai on a rainy afternoon.
β¨ Origin: Tamil Nadu & Keralaβs traditional crispy snack
π½οΈ Best served with: Coconut chutney or just plain hot chai!
π Ingredients:
β’ 250g Chana Dal (soaked for 2-3 hrs)
β’ 5 Dry Red Chilies
β’ 5 Garlic Cloves
β’ 1 Onion (finely chopped)
β’ 5 Green Chilies (finely chopped)
β’ Ginger, Curry Leaves & Coriander (finely chopped)
β’ Salt to taste
β’ Oil for deep frying
π©βπ³ Method:
1. Coarsely grind soaked dal with red chilies and garlic.
2. Mix in finely chopped onion, chilies, ginger, herbs.
3. Shape into small flat rounds by hand.
4. Deep fry until crispy and golden brown.
