Lhasa falls is located a kilometer away from Tashi view point, one of the famous tourist’s spots of Gangtok in Sikkim. Lhasa falls is a small waterfall which flows from the mountain and can be seen while driving from Tashi View Point as it is on the side of the road. There are giant rocks where people usually climb to click some good pictures and enjoy the moment of the other scenery.

At a distance of 8 km from Gangtok SNT Bus Station, Gonjang Monastery is situated at Fatak Bojhogari near Tashi Viewpoint in Gangtok, Sikkim. Located at an altitude of 6066 feet, it is one of the famous monasteries in Gangtok and among the best Gangtok attractions.The monastery looks impressive from outside with a massive Buddha figure inside. Inside this monastery one can see the Idols of Khen-lop Cho-Sum, three Religious Personalities or founding Fathers of Tibetan Buddhism in 8th century, and the engraved statues of the twenty-five disciples of Guru Padmasambhava called Je-bang Nyer-Nga. Today, the monastery has over 100 monks. The monastery has Thadrol Dorjee Memorial Community Health Care Centre for providing medication to monks and the local people.

Hanuman Tok or Hanuman Temple is also one of the prominent temples located in the capital city of Sikkim. The tranquility and serenity around the temple are so mesmerising that it will attract you to spend some time here. This Hanuman Temple is built by the Indian Army. The scenic beauty surrounding the Hanuman Tok Temple is mesmerising for the visitors. Hinduism followers, as well as the other tourists who visit Gangtok, have to visit this place to view the enchanting natural beauty and feel the serenity surrounds the temple.

The Bakthang waterfall is only 20 minutes drive from Gangtok town to a place called Swastik, adjacent to the army cantonment area. A serene waterfalls cascades down the rock forming a small pool down below. In local language ‘Bak’ means a forest and ‘thang’ meaning meadow or place. The natural spring water source of this falls originates from the dense vegetation above this site which is preserved as a Smriti Ban by the Forest Department.

This charming little Tashi View Point is a perfect place to witness the brilliant surroundings like mountains, valleys and Gangtok itself. This famous tourist point is located at a distance of 8 km from the town and is mostly known for offering some of the best sunrise and sunset views. One can witness the changing of colours of the Kanchenjunga and Siniolchu Peaks as the sun slowly moves from this view point along with the glimpse famous monasteries of Gangtok, Phodong and Labrang.
