Apple’s India revenues have been surging. In FY24, Apple India saw revenue around ₹67,121.6 crore (≈ $8-9 billion), largely driven by booming iPhone and MacBook sales. Their net profit for the same year was about ₹2,745.7 crore, which is a 23% increase year-over-year. On the manufacturing side, Apple also assembled roughly $14 billion worth of iPhones in India in FY24, making India a growing hub in Apple’s global supply chain.

What this means is, even though celebrities are paid lakhs to promote iPhone 17 and youths queue up at midnight for the launch, Apple is making serious profit margins here. With high sales prices (because of duties, taxes, and brand premium) and increasing local assembly reducing some costs, Apple manages to earn more per device sold in India compared to many places. So the crazed midnight queues aren’t just about love for the brand — they’re part of why India is one of Apple’s most profitable markets.
