A disturbing incident in Ladakh shows civilians allegedly abusing and confronting Army personnel after police allowed an Army convoy to proceed. Ladakh is a strategically sensitive region, not simply a holiday destination. Army convoys operate under security and operational requirements that civilians may not always understand. Questioning traffic arrangements is one thing. Abusing and harassing soldiers because you were asked to wait is completely unacceptable.
