Writer and filmmaker Paul Schrader has described Oppenheimer as the “best” and “most important film of this century”. And perfectly so
Based on a Book called 'American Prometheus' by Kai Bird And Martin J. Sherwin, Christopher Nolan has not just made a biography with absolute brilliance; he certainly made a strong statement through the movie for mankind and criticised its capability of destruction, while also made an outright stand against an entire state's flawed political agendas. Nolan took a brave step and told a story with all its nuances, including bitter political angles.Without a single VFX shot, Nolan and his team have achieved some of the most unimaginable visuals. On the other hand, After 'Tenet, Ludwig Göransson again proves his excellency with the BGM.The way entire movie was shot and edited, with its breathtaking BGM,it stands out as a cinematic masterpiece. And at last but not the list, the incredible performance by Cillian Murphy is the soul of this movie. As Robert Oppenheimer, he is just awestruckingly brilliant. And Probably he has taken a step forward in winning the Oscar for best actor this year. Beside that, all the supporting cast, including Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, and Benny Safdie, were excellent at their jobs.In conclusion, the movie has come up as a movie of the decade,or it wouldn't be wrong to call 'Oppenheimer' one of the most important movies of the entire century.

Z(1969) Directed by Costa Gavras.
It is not just a political thriller movie; it's the eternal truth of any kind of right-wing fascism in any part of this world.
Costa Gavras has made an edge-of-the s**t thriller that is a timeless anecdote of this cruel world of destructive politics.
The story is highly inspired by the real-life assassination of a leftist activist and member of the "greek resistance," Grigoris Lambrakis, in Axis-occupied Greece. The director uses a gripping screenplay to manifest political crime, corruption, and suppression. It's an extremely well-acted, well-written, and brilliantly made political thriller that resonates with today's right-wing governments and deluded countries (like ours).'Z' is a tight slap to those nations that has a far-right corrupt government, brainwashed and prejudiced people who are loyal to the government, anti-left and anti-liberalism groups that works as an extra constitutional power for the government and all those political weapons that still exist in today's world and work like wonders for the right-wing extremists.
'Z' is not just another well-made movie; it's a sharp comment on right-wing authoritarian politics:
"Little and fierce as a tiger".

"The Conformist" (1970), directed by Bernardo Bertolucci
This is a classic example of filmmaking at its best. Bertolucci has showed his perfection in this cinematic brilliance."The Conformist" is not only a sheer political drama; it is highly parabolic with its thematic representations. It is a brutally critical take on European fascism.Bertolucci has profoundly depicted the political unrest of contemporary fascist Italy and allied France. But the standout factor of an impactful movie like this is its mesmerising aesthetics.Bertolucci and Storaro have made every frame look like an old painting. From camera movements to colour palettes, Bertolucci shows craftsmanship.Lighting, cinematography, and the smart and clever use of Wide and Dutch-angle shots—every aspect of this movie is eye-pleasing.Jean-Louis Trintignant, as the main character of the movie, has done absolute justice to a complex character like this.
"The Conformist"is one of the significant works of cinema about European politics and its complexion.

If... (1968) Directed by Lindsay Anderson
"If..." is quirky and absurd. But it is an important film. The metaphorical and surreal treatment of the anti-establishment theme made this a gem of a cinema.
It is about three disobedient students in a strictly disciplined all-boys boarding school and their imprudent resistance to the oppressive system. Anderson brilliantly built a disturbing world where students are oppressed in a school, and a bunch of them became reckless towards their rebellious approach. It gives the movie the absurdity of a chaotic society. Here he allegorically comments on British society and their class differences while highlighting the irreversible consequences of a discriminated world.
As a stubborn, indisciplined student, Malcolm McDowell was excellent; may be it is the aftereffect of "The Clockwork Orange," but he looked exactly identically impactful with his performance.
"If..." is a satire that comes straight to the face with its sharp and merciless anarchist remarks.

Funny Games (1997) directed by Michael Haneke

Funny Games is a well-made psychological horror movie. No doubt director Michal Haneke had the credibility to win the Palme d'Or, and this movie was that early sign of excellence. I don't prefer this genre, so I don't even had any expectations from it. May be that's why it surprised me with the story telling and its depiction of violence. It is really interesting and unique among the other movies of this genre. It is disturbing and thrilling at the same time, very violent but not straight to the face. The director established most of the horror and the violence with expressions rather than any overuse of graphic violence. Without any jump scares and limited use of bloodshed, the director has pulled off an excellent psychological horror cm slasher movie.
