Some films end and leave you thinking, “I watched it… but what did I really get from it?”
Toxic gave me pretty much that feeling.

The biggest strength of the film is undoubtedly its scale and world-building. There’s a clear attempt to create a world of its own, and the production design, cinematography and action carry that ambition quite well. And then there’s Yash — his screen presence remains one of the film’s biggest assets.

But somewhere inside this massive setup, the story gets lost.

Too many characters, too many subplots and too many twists make the narrative unnecessarily complicated. There are moments that look impressive on screen, but the emotional impact rarely matches the spectacle.

And that’s where Toxic disappointed me the most.

The ambition is huge, but the screenplay doesn't always have the strength to support it. Yash does his part and carries several sequences purely through his presence, but even that can’t completely cover the weaknesses in the writing.

Overall, Toxic is definitely something you can look at and admire, but it struggles to make you genuinely feel something.

🏝️ Addalogue | Resort Review | Mystic Resort, Dublagadi,Orrisa

Sometimes, the pictures create an expectation that the actual experience struggles to match.

Last week, I visited Mystic Resort, Dublagadi with my family and friends, and honestly, the first impression was a little disappointing.

The rooms were the bright spot—spacious, newly built and comfortable, with good amenities. The washrooms are also new, although the very low water pressure was a definite inconvenience.

Where the resort falls short is in the overall upkeep and facilities. Considering the heavy monsoon conditions during our visit, the common and hangout areas could have been maintained better. The restaurant also doesn't have air-conditioning, which felt like a basic facility missing at this price point.

The food was average. The ingredients, especially the fish and chicken, were good, but the preparation lacked consistency and could certainly be improved.

But one thing deserves a genuine thumbs up—the service. The restaurant staff were courteous and responsive, while housekeeping was proactive and helpful throughout our stay.

At around ₹2,000 per person, the package is reasonably priced for Dublagadi. So overall, I wouldn't call it a bad stay. But considering the expectations created by its online presence, there is still a noticeable gap between the promise and the experience.

• Common areas need better upkeep
• No AC in the restaurant
• Weak water pressure
• Food preparation needs improvement

🎯 Would I Recommend It?

Yes, but with realistic expectations.

Mystic Resort has the basics right and plenty of potential. With better upkeep, stronger food preparation and a few facility upgrades, it could be a much more compelling stay in Dublagadi.

A decent stay with good service—but not quite the experience the pictures promise.
