Moreso our country, where every decision taken by the people in power are so heavily criticized. The youth makes it their prerogative to evaluate their own dissatisfactions and attempt to correct these shortcomings. But on a level much closer to home, the youths’ first step to making these changes is to voice their opinions. To express their views in a way that the world will sit up and listen. Yo
ung people are the face of change, sharp, fresh minds who have the ability to take a nation to great heights. Young people thus, need to be celebrated. ‘Influence’ does just that. It celebrates the youth, serves as a platform for new ideas, new stories, anything the young mind would want the world to know. It also serves as a guide to events youth-related, movements that we would want to participate in. News from colleges and institutions across the country come together in this magazine to provide information to youngsters about the goings-on of their contemporaries nationwide. Many a time, there are unsung heroes among us young people who do great things. They fall below the radar, overshadowed by other, less remarkable feats. ‘Influence’ aims to bring these heroes to the fore, and give them the recognition and appreciation they deserve. It would be unfair to offer examples, because there are everyday heroes among us, who do great things without even knowing. We at ‘Influence’ aim to shed light on these people, showing the public the true strength of being young, focused, and willing to bring about changes that will improve the society we live in.
