When we think of Indian cricketing legends, names like Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah naturally come to mind. Their contributions to Indian cricket are undeniable, but there's one name that deserves equal recognition for his sheer brilliance on the field—Ravichandran Ashwin.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑨𝒔𝒉𝒘𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆.

With over 500 Test wickets, he is not only one of the most prolific bowlers of our generation but also a genuine all-rounder who has delivered with the bat time and again. His ability to consistently contribute in both departments of the game sets him apart from most others.

When Bangladesh had India under the pump yesterday, this man stood tall and hammered 112 runs, adding 199 runs for the seventh wicket with Ravindra Jadeja. India were reeling at 144/6 and his partnership with Jadeja helped India to post a good total of 376. It was another great knock, a perfect rescue act in crisis, like he has pulled off numerous times during his career, both at home and in overseas conditions.

To put it simply, Ashwin is a match-winner. Whether it’s turning the game on its head with his spin bowling magic or standing tall with the bat under pressure, Ashwin has done it all. His tactical acumen, the variations he brings to his bowling, and his understanding of the game are unparalleled.

Yet, in the larger narrative, we don’t seem to celebrate his contributions enough. Perhaps it's time we give Ashwin the credit he truly deserves—on par with the greats we've idolized over the years. 🌟

The sheer number of times Ashwin & Jadeja have rescued India from difficult situations! It's a blessing & luxury for India to have two frontline spinners who are also proper batters. Falling short of words to explain the importance of their presence at 7 and 8.

Shubman Gill will need to improve his technique a lot & be much more consistent if he wants to hold on to his top order spot in Test cricket. Looks like an early LBW candidate every time he walks in to bat, and he got dismissed to the worst possible delivery this time.

Consistent line and length bowling pays off for Bangladesh. Both pacers used the conditions to perfection, and they have taken the big wicket of Rohit Sharma now. Early impression says this isn't going to be a one-sided contest.
