5,100 HNIs left India in 2023. Thousands leave every year. 📉

India's wealthiest are moving to Dubai, Singapore, and Portugal — chasing lower taxes, stronger passports, and a better quality of life. In 2025 alone, an estimated $26 billion in wealth walked out with them.

But here's the twist nobody's talking about: the exodus is slowing down. 7,500 → 5,100 → 4,300 → 3,500. Every year, fewer leave.

They don't hate India. Most still do business here. Still invest here. So the real question isn't why they left.

It's what's making the rest stay. 🇮🇳

Drop your take in the comments — would you leave, or build here?

The biggest obstacle to growing a business isn't competition. It's becoming indispensable to your own business.

Most Indian business owners don't suffer from a lack of hard work. They suffer from a lack of leverage.

India has over 63 million MSMEs, contributing around 30% of India's GDP and employing over 110 million people. But only a tiny fraction ever becomes large, scalable businesses.

Why?

Because founders often spend years optimizing operations instead of building systems that allow the business to grow without their constant involvement.

A few patterns separate businesses that scale from those that stay stuck:

• They document repeatable processes instead of relying on memory.
• They build a predictable customer acquisition system instead of chasing every new marketing trend.
• They hire for outcomes, not just tasks.
• They spend more time working *on* the business than *in* it.

Scaling isn't about working longer hours.

It's about creating a business that continues creating value even when you're not the one doing every job.

The goal of entrepreneurship isn't to own your work. It's to own a system that works without depending entirely on you.

What do you think is the biggest reason most Indian businesses struggle to scale—sales, hiring, systems, or mindset?

Every year, millions of Indians move abroad in search of better opportunities—but where do they actually go?

Each country offers something different: higher salaries, better career opportunities, tax benefits, education, or an improved quality of life.

One interesting fact: Nearly half of all Indian emigrants live in the Gulf countries, while countries like the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia remain the preferred destinations for long-term settlement and wealth creation.

📌 If you had the chance to move abroad, which country would you choose?

We spend thousands on French perfumes to smell premium.

But for over 400 years, Bharat had its own fragrance capital.

Kannauj.

A city whose attars travelled to royal courts across Asia and Europe long before modern perfume brands existed.

This wasn't just fragrance.

It was Indian craftsmanship.
Indian science.
Indian heritage.

Then synthetic fragrances took over. Traditional attars were pushed aside and labelled old-fashioned.

Today, that story is changing.

A new generation of Indian founders is building premium fragrance brands rooted in Indian culture, ingredients, and traditions.

The market is finally catching up to the culture.

What other Indian industries do you think deserve a comeback?

This brand came and captured 16% of India's deodorant market with zero celebrity endorsements.

The insight was brutal in its simplicity: every competitor was selling gas. Literally. 70% propellant, 30% product. The can emptied in weeks — by design.

Darshan Patel of Paras Pharmaceuticals flipped it. More liquid. No gas. Better value.

Indian consumers didn't need convincing. Fogg didn't just win market share — it rewrote category pricing forever.
