Youth Dies, Another Injured in Bike Accident in Kulgam's Devsar

Kulgam, July 20: A tragic road accident in the Devsar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday claimed the life of a young bike rider and left another injured, officials said.

An official told, that a 20-year-old youth, Saqlain Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, a resident of Malwan, sustained critical injuries in a motorcycle accident near Cheyan Adigam in Devsar. He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Kulgam by police and locals, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased's body has been kept at the hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The pillion rider, identified as Rahul Ahmad, also sustained injuries in the mishap and is currently undergoing treatment at District Hospital Kulgam.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation into the matter.
