30-Year-Old Man Found Dead Near Jhelum River in Khanabal Anantnag*

Anantnag, July 21 : A male body was recovered Monday morning near the banks of River Jhelum in Nandpora Khanabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Official sources told news agency JKNS said that the deceased has been identified as Abid Hassan Sofi, son of Ghulam Hassan, a resident of Mirpora Salia, aged around 30 years.

Soon after the recovery, a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was dispatched to the spot for on-site examination, they said.

Youth stabbed to death by thief in Qazigund village

Qazigund, July 18 A 28-year-old Youth was stabbed to death allegedly by a thief who entered his house at Sangran area of Qazigund on Friday, sources said.

Sources said a youth identified as Zahid Ahmad Banday, son of Mohd Yaseen Banday was stabbed to death while resisting robbery bid inside his home at Kishgund Sangran in Qazigund in wee hours on Friday.

Youth drowns while bathing in Nalla Veshow, Kulgam
July 4, 2025

A 21-year-old youth drowned to death while taking a bath in Nalla Veshow at Khrewan Chadder area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on friday.

The deceased has been identified as Shahid Ahmad Rather, son of Mohammad Maqbool Rather, a resident of Yarikhah D.H.Pora. Shahid was working as a baker in the Khrewan Chadder area.
