*One dead while two other injured when a dumper rolling down into nallah at banihal*

Jammu, Apr 16 (BAN) One person died while two other injured when a dumper rolling down into nallah at banihal jammu/Srinagar national highway on Tuesday evening.

Sources told News Agency Buland Awaaz (BAN) that a dumper bearing registration number JK18D-1453 on the way towards kulgam from Jammu rolling down into nallah bishlari at Sherbibi area of district banihal resulting in which one person died while two other were injured.

The deceased has been identified as Nawaz Ahmad bhat age about (35) Son of Mohd Amin bhat resident of laisu damhal hanjipora kulgam while the injured persons is identified as Zubair sofi Son of Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi and Parvaiz Ahmad Son of Bashir Ahmad both are residents of kounsarbal DH pora kulgam.

Sources said that the injured persons has been shifted to Sub district hospital banihal from where they have been referred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment.

Meanwhile, Police have taken the Cognizance in the incident.--

*Police attaches illegal property worth Lacs of notorious drug peddler in Bugam Kulgam*

*March 19:* Continuing its action against drug peddlers, Kulgam Police attached property (Single storied residential house worth approx. ₹1,014,894. measuring 976.76 Sq ft belonging to notorious drug peddler namely *Ghulam Mohammad Mir@Gull Kasai Son of Mohd Abdullah Mir a resident of Bugam*.

The action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985 & is linked with case FIR No. 166/2015 U/S 8/15 of NDPS act & 77/2022 U/S 8/15 of NDPS Act of PS Kulgam.

The property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Kulgam Police. The property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic substances by the drug peddler.

This operation reaffirms the commitment of Police to combat the drug menace. Local people of the area hailed the initiative of Police.

*Srinagar-Jammu highway blocked due to landslide in Ramban*

Srinagar, Feb 04 (KNO): The Srinagar-Jammu national highway has been closed for traffic due to a landslide in Kishtwari Pather and Sherbibi areas of Ramban district on Sunday, officials said.

Jammu and Kashmir Traffic police in post on X, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) advised people to avoid journey on the highway due to road blockade.

“Jammu Srinagar NHW blocked due to landslide at Kishtwari Pather, Sherbibi. People are advised to avoid journey on NH-44 till the weather improves and the road is clear,” it said—(KNO)
