Cheating Racket Busted in Kupwara
Today, Kupwara Police received a complaint against a woman named Mir Shafeeqa,wife of Ali Mohd Mir, resident of Daril Tarathpora, for allegedly running a fraudulent group under the name SAB KA SAATH SAB KA VIKAAS. The group was reportedly promising extra rations to people in exchange for a subscription fee of ₹200.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused has been cheating poor people across Kashmir by collecting money in the name of this fake scheme. The Police have arrested the accused and an FIR NO.194/2024 U/S 318(4), 338, and 340(2)BNS has been at Police Station Kupwara, and an investigation is underway.
The public is strongly advised to remain cautious of such schemes and to verify any offers or programs through the proper authorities before engaging in them
