A Serious Threat
Smoking in Kashmir has become a serious social and public health issue. The statistics are alarming an estimated 30 to 35 percent of men, along with an increasing number of youth and women, use ci******es, bidis, ho**ah, or other to***co products.
This rate is not only higher than India’s national average but also a clear indicator of a looming health crisis in the region. According to health experts, to***co use is directly linked to the rising cases of heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory illnesses in Kashmir.
The young generation the hope of the future — is the most affected. Sadly, under the guise of entertainment and fashion, ho**ah culture is becoming increasingly common.
The time has come for society to wake up. Parents, teachers, and religious scholars must play their role, while the government enforces strict laws and launches awareness campaigns. If we fail to act today, the coming generations will face a devastating tragedy۔۔

کم ظرف انسان

چھوٹا ہونے کے باعث جلدی چھلک جاتا ہے۔ ذرا سی بات پر برہم ہونا اور ہر خوشی میں کانٹے ڈالنا اُس کی فطرت بن جاتی ہے
۔کم ظرف انسان کی سوچ بھی محدود ہوتی ہے ۔

ایسے لوگ دوسروں کے روشن چراغ بجھانے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں، مگر اپنی تاریکی کبھی کم نہیں کر پاتے۔
کم ظرفی یہ ہے کہ انسان دوسروں کی عزت گھٹا کر اپنی بڑائی ثابت کرنا چاہے، حالانکہ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ جو کسی کو گراتا ہے وہ خود کبھی اٹھ نہیں پاتا۔
بڑے ظرف والے لوگ خاموش رہ کر وقت کے ساتھ اپنی پہچان بنا لیتے ہیں، لیکن کم ظرف لوگ شور مچا کر بھی گمنامی میں ڈوب جاتے ہیں۔
کم ظرفی انسان کے کردار کو کھوکھلا کر دیتی ہے، جیسے دیمک لکڑی کو اندر ہی اندر کھا جاتی ہے۔

Public Concern over Macadam Work on Trehgam–Ladrwnn Road
Macadam work has been started on the Trehgam–Ladrrwan road, but local residents have expressed concern that the work is not beginning from the stretch where it is actually needed the most. Instead, a portion in the middle has been taken up.
According to the locals, the sections of the road that are in the worst condition and cause daily inconvenience to commuters should have been prioritized. The public demands that the authorities take immediate action and ensure that the macadam work begins from the most problematic areas, so that people can get real relief.
