Auditorium, Kala Pahar, Near TCP-1, Uri, Jammu and Kashmir, 14 July 2025-
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) with Tata Strive as Certification and Assessment Partner join hands with REACHA a leading non-profit organization, and Indian Army in Uri, Kashmir to develop a comprehensive program aimed at empowering the youth and addressing the growing demand for a skilled workforce in the region.
The project will be run under the supervision and guidance of the Indian Army at Chinar Nau Jawan Club Uri. The state-of-the-art skill centre at Uri is well-equipped to train 150 learners annually. The job-oriented training program focuses on holistic professional development, and to provide market-related hospitality training in ‘Chef Bakery’ and ‘Fashion Designing (Weaving)’ with access to employment opportunities for the youth. In addition to technical skills, the program will equip participants with valuable soft skills, empowering them and positively impacting their communities. Post course completion, learners will be given assistance for employment or entrepreneurship.
The event was graced by the presence of our Chief Guest Brig Manish Sehgal ,Commander 12 Infantry Brigade, Col Narendra Singh Deswal, CO 13 Sikhli, Mr. Mudasir Khaliq Bhat (Executive Housekeeping, IHCL) Mr. Aseem Gupta (Executive Chef) , Mr. Azad Hussain (Sr. Advisor, REACHA), Ms. Archna Singh (Head Projects and Compliances, REACHA), and whole REACHA team There was participation from various government departments.
Chief Guest Brig Manish Sehgal ,Commander 12 Infantry Brigade during his speech emphasized the importance of this new initiative, and also shared how Indian Amry around the valley has been doing initiatives to uplift and mainstream the community. He also motivated youth to come and be part of the program.
Mr. Mudasir Khaliq Bhat from IHCL spoke about IHCL’s vision to strengthen the local communities of Uri, Kashmir, and this is only the beginning of a new partnership with Indian Army and REACHA to move towards the mission.

Ms. Archna Singh shared REACHA's journey in Kashmir began since 2016 and how it has been working with various partners to strengthen Indian Army's operation Sadbhavana. The goal for REACHA continues to always be to strengthen the nation. She also shared that the team has been working on the footsteps of our founder Late Shri JC Pant – and his mission and vision to strengthen the country.
Mr. Nikhil Pant – Chairman and CEO REACHA gave his best wishes from Dehradun for the success of this program, and to strengthen the communities of Kashmir with IHCL and Indian Army.
