J&K National Conference (JKNC) Handwara extends its heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Surinder Kumar Choudhary Sahib who visited Handwara on the invitation of Hon’ble MP Chowdry Ramzan sb .
We express our deepest appreciation for his dynamic, development-oriented leadership and his commitment to public welfare. Despite his demanding schedule, the Hon’ble Deputy CM took out his valuable time to personally visit the area, interact with the people, and assess the developmental needs on the ground. His proactive approach, visionary outlook, and people-centric governance truly reflect a leadership dedicated to progress and inclusive development.

Alhough his official schedule was only until 2 PM, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister extended his visit and toured the Drugmulla and Rajwar areas of constituency until 9 PM. This clearly reflects his dedication, accessibility, and deep sense of responsibility towards the people. It shows that he is not just a leader in position, but a true representative of the people, driven by a genuine passion to serve and address their concerns at the grassroots level.

We deeply acknowledge the major developmental works proposed, including:
• Balance work of approach road of Drugmulla Bridge
• Construction of Washkura–Kachwari Bridge over Nallah Talri
• Construction of bridge on Nallah Pohru at Gonipora, Handwara
• Construction of Sarai at Handwara Market with separate facilities and VIP accommodation
• Construction/Macadamization of Handwara–Zachaldara–Wadder Bala–Bangus Road
• Upgradation of Satkoji link roads including inner links.
• Beautification of Handwara town
• Submission of DPR for Tand Mohalla Wadder Road
• Macadamization of Bus Adda Handwara
• Yamlar Bhuvan Watsar Wadder Road
We also appreciate the inclusion of several important inner link roads and locality-based connectivity works, including:

• Link road from Abubakar Masjid Herpora to Salman Masjid, Herpora
• Link from Steel Bridge to the residence of Abdul Rashid Bhat
• ITI Colony link road (upgradation required)
• Link from Noorul Malik to Abdul Majid Khan
• Kachiwara link from the house of Ab Majeed Shah via Middle School up to the house of Tahir Bashir Shah
• Improvement/Upgradation of road from New Bus Stand connecting to Main Bye-Pass road
These much-needed projects, along with provisions for basic amenities including lanes, drains and tiling, will significantly enhance connectivity, improve living conditions, and address long-pending demands of the people.

JKNC Handwara expresses its deep appreciation for this proactive and development-oriented approach and assures full support in ensuring the successful and timely implementation of these projects for the benefit of the people.

MP Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan raised a question regarding the extension of railway connectivity from Baramulla to Kupwara and further up to Karnah, highlighting the urgent need for reliable, year-round transport facilities for the people of this border district.

The region frequently remains cut off during heavy snowfall, causing severe hardships in medical emergencies, particularly for pregnant women, cancer patients and other critically ill individuals. Even the transportation of the deceased becomes extremely difficult during such periods.

In this context, he underscored that rail connectivity would serve as a vital lifeline for these remote and vulnerable populations.

Hon’ble Member of Parliament Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan was invited by Her Excellency Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Hon’ble Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine.

Addressing the gathering, Her Excellency Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin briefed the attendees on the current political developments and the prevailing ground and humanitarian situation in Palestine.

During the interaction, Hon’ble MP Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan expressed deep concern over the disturbing and heart-wrenching visuals and reports emerging from Palestine and condemned the violence and suffering of innocent civilians. He expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine and emphasized that there is no military solution to the conflict. He stated that a just, durable, and comprehensive peace can only be achieved through dialogue, diplomacy, and meaningful negotiations, noting that history shows violence deepens divisions, while dialogue opens the path to reconciliation and peace.
