Sonam Wangchuk’s message from Central Jail, Jodhpur.

Today on the 4th of October Ka Tsetan Dorjey Ley ( Sonam Wangchuk’s elder brother ) and I ( Mustafa Haji- Lawyer ) met Mr. Sonam Wangchuk at Jodhpur Central Jail.
Mr. Sonam has conveyed the following message to the people of Ladakh and India.

I am doing well, both physically and mentally and thank everyone for their concern and prayers.
My heartfelt condolences to the families of those people who lost their lives and my prayers with people who are injured and are arrested.
There should be an independent Judicial Inquiry into the killing of our four people and unless that is done I am prepared to stay in Jail.
I stand firmly with Apex Body and the KDA and the people of Ladakh in our genuine constitutional demand for Sixth Schedule and Statehood and whatever actions Apex Body takes in the interest of Ladakh, I am with them
I appeal to people to keep peace and unity and continue with our struggle peacefully- in the true Gandhian way of non-violence.

Iqra Public School Parkachik Hosts First-Ever Ethnic Food Festival

Parkachik, October 4:
Iqra Public School Parkachik organized its first-ever Ethnic Food Festival on Saturday, with enthusiastic participation from students of Nursery to Class 8th.

The event featured a vibrant display of traditional and local dishes prepared and presented by the students themselves. Each participant showcased their culinary creativity by explaining the recipes, cooking methods, and the cultural significance of their dishes. The festival provided a platform for students to express their interest in preserving and promoting their cultural heritage through food.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mohd. Muntazir emphasized the importance of cultural preservation in the modern world. He said that it is the collective responsibility of society to safeguard traditional foods and pass their value on to younger generations.

At the conclusion of the event, the Principal extended his gratitude to all students, teachers, and staff members who contributed to the success of the program. He described the festival as a meaningful educational activity that not only celebrated cultural diversity but also enhanced the students’ understanding of their roots.

Breaking | Ladakh Administration has ordered Magisterial inquiry into the violent incidents of September 24 violence in Leh which claimed 4 lives and left several dozens of civilians and security personnel injured. IAS officer Mukul Beniwal, currently Sub Divisional Magistrate Nubra, has been named Inquiry Officer. The probe has to be completed in four weeks. Beniwal has invited the members of the public with knowledge of the incident to meet with him at the Conference Hall of DC office in Leh from October 4 to October 18 during the working hour.
