नीतिवचन 3:14

क्योंकि उसका व्यापार चांदी के व्यापार से और उसका लाभ चोखे सोने के लाभ से अच्छा है।

बुद्धि और समझ धन व सम्पत्ति से बेहतर हैं। सुलैमान राजा ने आपके जीवन के लिए एक मुख्य प्राथमिकता के विषय में सिखाया। आपके व्यवसाय या वित्तसाधनों को उन्नत करने के आप के प्रयासों की तुलना में बुद्धि और समझ का पीछा करना अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है। क्या आपका जीवन इस परमेश्वर-प्रेरित प्राथमिकता को प्रतिबिम्बित करता है? या आप ने संसार के झूठ को मोल ले लिया है कि आर्थिक समृद्धि अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है?

बुद्धि और समझ विचाराधीन हैं (नीति 3:13)। बुद्धि सम्पत्ति से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है, जैसा कि यह मुंगों से अधिक बहुमूल्य और किसी भी चीज से बेहतर है जिसकी आप इच्छा करते हैं (नीति 3:15)। व्यापार करना क्या है? यह लाभ के लिए खरीदने और बेचने का व्यवसाय है, जो बुद्धि और समझ प्राप्त करने के आप के प्रयासों के साथ वित्तीय तुलना करने में सहायता करता है।

बुद्धि उचित परख है - यह जानना कि किसी परिस्थिति में परमेश्वर और मनुष्यों को प्रसन्न करने के लिए क्या किया जाना चाहिए। समझ सही पहचान है - परिस्थितियों को, और उनकी उलझनों को, तथा परिणामों को ठीक ठीक समझना। एक या एकाधिक सर्वनामों के उपयोग के द्वारा, बुद्धि और समझ समानार्थी शब्द हो सकते हैं (नीति. 3:13-14; 4:5, 7-8; 7:4-5; 8:1-2; 17:28), क्योंकि बुद्धि में समझ सम्मिलित है (नीति 8:14), और एक समझदार मनुष्य के पास बुद्धि होती है (नीति. 10:23; 14:33; 17:24)।

बुद्धि और समझ किसी भी मनुष्य के लिए सरल हैं। वे परमेश्वर के लिए एक आदरयुक्त भय के साथ आरम्भ होती हैं (नीति 1:5; 9:10)। वे परमेश्वर के लिखित व घोषित वचन के प्रति नम्र समर्पण के द्वारा विकसित की जाती हैं (भजन. 19:7; 119:98-100; कुलु 1:28)। और ‘वह’ इसे उन्हें उदारतापूर्वक देगा जो मांगते हैं (भजन 119:18; याकूब 1:5)। बुद्धिमान होने से कौन-सी बातें आपको रोक रही हैं? रुपये का लोभ?

पैसा और बुद्धि का पीछा करने के बीच तुलना करें। अब संसार में चाँदी और सोने के सिक्कें देकर आर्थिक व्यवहार नहीं किए जाते। इसलिए आवश्यक है कि साधारण कागज़ के पैसों की तुलना की जाए। पौलुस ने क्या चेतावनी दी? रुपये का लोभ सब प्रकार की बुराईयों की जड़ है, एक परीक्षा और एक फन्दा, मूर्खतापूर्ण और हानिकारक लालसाओं का कारण, और अनेक दुःखों का स्रोत, जो मनुष्यों को विनाश और नरकवास में डुबो देता है (1 तीमु 6:6-10)। रुपया मनुष्यों को बुद्धि से दूर रखता है।

क्या आप एक वेतन-वृद्धि प्राप्त करने में अधिक आनन्दित हैं या परमेश्वर के वचन में एक रत्न ढूंढ लेने में? आप एक पेशे में कई घण्टे मेहनत करते हैं, किन्तु क्या आप धर्मशास्त्र में ढूंढने में कई मिनिट बिताते हैं? क्या आप बाइबल का अध्ययन करने में उतने ही समय के पाबन्द व उर्जावान हैं जितना कि आप आपकी नौकरी में हैं? आप दूसरों से अपने काम के बारे में बात करते हैं, परमेश्वर के वचन के बारे में क्या? जब आप एक रोज़गार या व्यापार के सुअवसर को देखते हैं, आप अपने मित्रों को उसके विषय में बताते हैं, लेकिन क्या आप उन्हें एक महान वचन के बारे में भी बताते हैं जो आपने पाया है?

दाऊद ने सुलैमान को सिखाया था, “बुद्धि श्रेश्ठ है इसलिये उसकी प्राप्ति के लिये यत्न कर; जो कुछ तू प्राप्त करे उसे प्राप्त तो कर परन्तु समझ की प्राप्ति का यत्न घटने न पाए” (नीति. 4:7)। फिर सुलैमान ने आपको लिखा, “सच्चाई को मोल लेना, बेचना नहीं; और बुद्धि और षिक्षा और समझ को भी मोल लेना” (नीति. 23:23)। धन-सम्पत्ति के ऊपर बुद्धि को उन्नत करने के लिए, अपनी प्राथमिकताओं को ठीक करने और फिर से क्रमबद्ध करने के लिए आज आप क्या करेंगे?
