The phrase 'Ayodhya is merely a preview; Kashi-Mathura is forthcoming' was quite significant during the Ram Mandir movement. Following the Ayodhya verdict, this slogan is resonating once more as legal disputes regarding the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi and the Shahi Idgah Mosque in Mathura are currently under judicial review.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has clearly stated his position. He mentioned that, as Hindus accepted the court's ruling on Ayodhya, the matters of Kashi and Mathura will be settled only through the judicial system (the courts).
This assertion is important because it alleviates concerns of possible violence, akin to what occurred during the Ayodhya controversy. The Hindu community asserts that these mosques were constructed by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb following the destruction of ancient temples, and is pursuing legal action to reclaim these locations.
