Lucknow ki Kabootarbazi ..

Kabootarbazi ka rivaaj Mughalon ke zamaane, khaas taur par Badshah Akbar aur Shah Jahan ke daur se chala aa raha hai (16th–17th century).
Mughal badshah log khud “kabootar palne” aur “udaane” ke shaukeen the. Unke paas hazaron kabootar hote the, aur har ek ka naam bhi rakha jaata tha.
Dilli ke purane ilaqe jaise Chandni Chowk, Ballimaran aur Lal Kuan aaj bhi is riwayat ko zinda rakhe hue hain.
Lucknow mein kabootarbazi ka rivaaj Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula (18th century) ke daur se mashhoor hua. Nawabon ke zamane mein ye shauk aur shaan ki nishani thi.
Yahan ke Chowk, Nakhas aur Aminabad ke ilaqon mein aaj bhi subah-subah kabootar udaane wale mil jaate hain.
Toh agar dekha jaye toh
Delhi ki kabootarbazi lagbhag 400–450 saal purani hai.
Lucknow ki kabootarbazi bhi kam se kam 250–300 saal purani riwayat hai.
Dono jagah ye sirf ek khel nahi balki ek tehzeeb aur virasat hai jo “ustadi aur izzat” se jodi hui hai.
