यूपी के ज़िला चंदौली (शकूराबाद गांव) के निवासी हाजी अख़्लाक़ अहमद 1968 में राजपूताना राइफल्स दिल्ली में भर्ती हुए थे। उन्होंने 1971 में पाकिस्तान के ख़िलाफ़ जंग लड़ते हुए पाकिस्तान की तीन चौकियों पर क़ब्ज़ा कर भारत का परचम लहराया था। इस दौरान फ़ौजी हाजी अख़्लाक़ अहमद को भी पैर में गोली लगी थी। ऐसे जांबाज़ों को हमारा सलाम है।

गौ-हत्या की झूठी अफ़वाह में 18 जून 2018 को क़ासिम की मॉब लिंचिंग में हत्या हुई थी, 6 साल बाद आया बड़ा फ़ैसला। अदालत ने 10 दोषियों को : राकेश, कालू, सोनू, मांगेराम, रिंकू, हरिओम, मनीष, ललित और करणपाल को आजीवन कारावास (उम्रक़ैद) कि सज़ा सुनाई गई।
