In Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh, a Kanwariya is making an extremely dangerous journey toward a Mahadev temple while carrying a Dandauti Kanwar. The Kanwar is placed on one four-wheeled platform, while another platform has hundreds of nails arranged like Bhishma Pitamah’s bed of arrows.

The Kanwariya lies on this bed of nails and moves forward, while his companion keeps pushing the nail-studded platform ahead as the Kanwar progresses. This unique and arduous journey, which has been going on for several days, is being described as a “Hath Kanwar” (austerity-based Kanwar pilgrimage).

Police shot dead r**e accused Monu in an encounter.

Monu allegedly kidnapped an 11-year-old girl at around 11 PM on July 31, sexually assaulted her, and later killed her.

Police have now brought the accused to justice.
