🚨 A New Year’s terror attack was planned in the US and stopped just days before ex*****on.
In late December 2025, the FBI foiled an ISIS-inspired terror plot in North Carolina, preventing a mass-casualty attack planned for New Year’s Eve.
Here’s what the investigation revealed 👇
• The suspect, 18-year-old Christian Student, was allegedly radicalised online and openly posted ISIS-supporting content on social media.
• The FBI tracked these posts and deployed an undercover cyber agent, whom the suspect believed to be an ISIS member.
• During chats, the suspect pledged allegiance (bayat), called himself a “soldier of the state,” and discussed attacking civilians using knives and fi****ms.
• He shared photos of weapons and targeted grocery stores and fast-food outlets — consistent with ISIS propaganda urging low-tech attacks.
• A house search uncovered a handwritten note titled “New Year’s Attack 2026”, listing masks, tactical gloves, knives, and a plan to stab 20–21 people.
• The note also referenced a “martyrdom operation”, indicating intent to attack responding police.
• The arrest was made on 31 December 2025, hours before New Year celebrations, through coordination between the FBI, NYPD, local police, and the Joint Terrorism Task Force.
🔍 Should social media platforms be legally accountable for detecting and reporting early signs of radicalisation — or does that threaten free speech?
