Jammu Police booked notorious hardcore Criminal, Tahir Paul involved in Bhatindi Assault case under PSA
JAMMU, July 19,2025: In a major crackdown on criminal elements, Jammu Police booked a notorious criminal under the *Public Safety Act (PSA)* in the Bahu fort Police station of Jammu.
*Mohd Tahir @ Tahir Pal S/0 Abdul Gaffar R/0 Village Achralla Tehsil Mahore, district Reasi A/P Near Lal Madarsa Bhatindi, District Jammu* who has *long criminal history and involved in multiple FIRтАЩs,has been booked under PSA and shifted to District Jail Kathua*
Despite several FIRs, arrests and pending cases in HonтАЩble courts, Tahir Pal did not mend ways and continued to engage in unlawful activities, posing a serious threat to public peace,
тАЬAs routine legal measures failed to deter him, authorities invoked PSA to prevent any further criminal acts,тАЭ the police official said.
In the month of February 2025 ,he along with his other associates attacked two persons at Mecca Masjid chowk, Bhatindi with sharp edged tokas and swords leading to serious injuries to one of them. Same incident was widely reported in media and concerns highlighted by senior citizens requesting strict police action.
Accordingly. the PSA warrant was issued today by the District Magistrate Jammu and executed on July 19.
