Okay, so this happened. Can’t say recently, as it happened when I was in the UK in May. What a fantastic day it was. I filmed one car, drove 100 miles one way, met the lovely , recorded this quick conversation and went back only to shoot another car. But doesn’t matter, as I told you few days back that I can do anything for the love of Automobiles.
Thanks, Mat and Richard, for taking time from your busy schedules, and that too on short notice. I understand the value of a clear sunny day in the UK and so I appreciate the effort even more.
Also, thanks to and for all the effort in coordinating and video editing.
And thanks, , for bothering me on the trip and not driving at all that day 😒

Mumbai-Jaipur, Defender and Wife along. Small read. Flow with respect to photos.
So I decided to ferry a Defender 5L V8 press fleet from Mumbai to Delhi, at my cost. Why? I don’t know 😄.
Well I can do any unreasonable thing for the love of driving and if it is a Supercharged SUV, haha what ever it takes.
Since wife was along, no point of just enjoying the car, I took a route no one will take from Mumbai to Jaipur/Delhi if time and comfort is the priority.
Simple rule, avoid highways, take forest/hilly roads for next two days. Stopped wherever we found slow paced village life, local food, natural beauty. Obviously roads were not great, but not bad either, just narrow.
I ended up driving 500 km in hilly sections getting in from Saputara in Maharashtra and came out directly near Rajpipla in Gujarat.
Obviously Defender drinks like anything, so it was but obvious that this V8 will gulp as well. 5.68 kmpl I managed to, not bad!!!
But in the end I enjoyed the drive, wife enjoyed scenic beauty of Maharashtra and Gujarat and both came back home with smiles and memories. 😊😊
PS: Car was then sent to Delhi after I drove it more for a video review.
