पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों में रातभर होने वाली भारी बारिश के कारण, तीस्ता नदी का जलस्तर असूची में बढ़ गया है। इसका असर वासाबाड़ी के तोडे गांव में हुआ है, जहां पानी घुस जाने के कारण लोगों को पलायन करना पड़ा। इस संकट के समय, भारतीय समाज सेवा संस्था के सदस्यों ने स्थानीय लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थान एलनबाड़ी तक पहुंचाने में मदद किया। एवम ट्रैक्टर में घर की सामग्री भरकर, मवेशियों को सुरक्षित स्थान तक पहुंचाने में सक्रिय रूप से शामिल हुए हैं। इस समय में संस्था के प्रभारी, हर्षित प्रसाद, माल ब्लाक सह प्रभारी परेश कर्मकार, साहिल मिंज, राजीव कुमारी पुरी, मौजूद थे।

3-MONTH OLD BABY KIDNAPPED IN WASHABARIE TE, SUCCESSFULLY TRACED AND RECOVERED FROM RANCHI, JHARKHAND BY MALBAZAR POLICE

On 11th February 2023, a Baby Boy of three months was kidnapped by one lady from Washabarie TE under Malbazar PS area. With the efforts of Investigating Officer SI Naimuddin Sheikh of Malbazar police station under Jalpaiguri district police, after engaging source and with help of technical support. The hideout of suspect could be found at Ranchi, Jharkhand.

On 19th Feb 2023, the baby boy could be recovered from the custody of suspect lady named Anjali Minj and she was arrested. Legal process has been initiated to hand over the baby to his lawful guardian. The accused lady is in Police Remand for further investigation

Legendary Singer Lata Mangeshkar Passes Away At 92; India Mourns; Mortal Remains To Be Taken To Shivaji Park

The veteran singer was being treated for Covid-19 and pneumonia symptoms for over a month. She was 92. The singer, called the Nightingale of India, was admitted to the hospital in January with Covid-19 and pneumonia.

Lata Mangeshkar recorded her first Hindi song called “Mata Ek Sapoot Ki Duniya Badal De Tu” for the Marathi feature Gajaabhaau, which had released in 1943. Later, she went on to collaborate with some of the most popular names of the Hindi music industry, including the likes of Anil Biswas, Shankar Jaikishan, Naushad Ali and SD Burman among others.

She has been honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan as well as several National and Filmfare Awards.

Rajat Agarwal (27), a resident of Bhanunagar area of ​​Birpara commits su***de in love affair on 26th January.

As per Rajat's uncle Kailash Kumar Agarwal and his friends, "Rajat was in a love affair with Barsa Periwal, d/o. Bimal Periwal & Rachna Devi Periwal resident of Banarhat Bazar Road, Banarhat, for the past 10 years.

Barsha used Rajat for all her financial requirements and often for going to Siliguri for shopping, during exams. Barsha even used to visit Rajat's house frequently.

Keeping Rajat's family in pretense, Barsha's parents promised to get Barsha married to Rajat in 2022. Suddenly, on 25 January, Barsha's family members engaged Barsha with someone else in Jaigaon and on the very same night Barsha and her mother Rachna Periwal abused and harassed Rajat over phone call intentionally pushing him into deep depression provoking him for su***de. This news completely shocked Rajat."

According to his family members & friends, Rajat was convinced, but after talking to Barsha over phone at night, Rajat changed his mind and commited su***de in the same night.

Rajat's family & friends demands justice for Rajat.

Grand Netaji Statue At India Gate, Says PM. Hologram To Fill Spot

A statue of freedom icon Subhash Chandra Bose will be installed at India Gate in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared today in tweets. Until the statue is ready, a hologram of the Subhash Chandra Bose, or Netaji, will be put up at the spot, PM Modi said, sharing an image.

The Netaji statue will be 28 feet by 6 feet and will stand at the spot that once featured a statue of England's King George V. That statue was removed and shifted in 1968.

"At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate. This would be a symbol of India's indebtedness to him," the Prime Minister said in tweet.
