Pisces Books had the honour of presenting our publication “Tareekh-e-Sitapur” to Dr Ammar Rizvi Sahab — Former Acting Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh; Leader of Opposition, Legislative Council; Deputy Speaker, Vidhan Sabha, Uttar Pradesh; and President, All India Minorities Forum for Democracy.

Authored by Haider Ali Jafri Sahab from Sitapur, the book reflects a deep exploration of the region’s history and cultural legacy.

Thanksgiving

📚सीतापुर जनपद के वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता, विचारक चिंतक, सैयद हैदर अली जाफरी से एक महत्वपूर्ण मुलाकात हुई। उन्होंने हाल ही में प्रकाशित अपनी किताब ( सीतापुर का इतिहास - सीतापुर जिले की शैक्षणिक, साहित्यिक, राजनीतिक, सामाजिक एवं ऐतिहासिक स्थितियाँ) हमें भेंट की।

बीते दिनों इस किताब का लोकार्पण हिंदी सभा नरोत्तम सभागार में हुआ था। जिसमें हमें आमंत्रित किया गया था। लेकिन अपरिहार्य कारण से नहीं आ सके थे।

यह उनका बड़प्पन है कि उन्होंने इस किताब के साहित्य सेक्शन में हमारे साहित्यिक समर्पण का भी जिक्र किया है।

जाफरी साहब ने एक दौर को जिया है। यकीनन उनके सानिध्य में बैठना, उस दौर के राजनीतिक सामाजिक, शैक्षिक, साहित्यिक, रंगमंचीय सरोकारों को नजदीक से समझने का अवसर होता है।

सीतापुर एक आबादी वाला क्षेत्र है और लंबे समय तक इसने न केवल अवध के इतिहास में बल्कि भारत के इतिहास में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। काफी समय से इस क्षेत्र के इतिहास को विस्तार से बताने और इस क्षेत्र की महत्वपूर्ण हस्तियों के परिचय और उनकी उपलब्धियों के उल्लेख की आवश्यकता महसूस की जा रही थी। अब सैयद हैदर अली जाफ़री एडवोकेट ने तारीख़ सीतापुर लिखकर एक बहुत ही अहम ज़रूरत पूरी की है।

यह पुस्तक न केवल जिले के इतिहास को कवर करती है बल्कि सीतापुर जिले की शैक्षणिक, साहित्यिक, राजनीतिक, सामाजिक महत्व को भी रेखांकित करती है।

किताब उर्दू लिपि में है इसलिए धीरे धीरे अनुवाद करवा कर पढ़ूंगा। जाफरी साहब को इस किताब के लिए बहुत-बहुत बधाई और सीतापुर जनपद की ओर से बेहद शुक्रिया।
