*Opening Ceremony of Krishna Ghati Premier League (KGPL) 2025–26*

The Nangi Tekri Battalion, under the aegis of Krishna Ghati Brigade, inaugurated the much-awaited second edition of the Krishna Ghati Premier League (KGPL) T20 Cricket Tournament at Jhullas on 02 November 2025 under Operation Sadbhavana.
A total of 27 teams are participating in this 20-day-long tournament, which aims to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and youth engagement. The KGPL has emerged as one of the most prestigious cricket tournaments in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, offering cash prizes worth ₹8 Lakhs and featuring participation from IPL and Ranji players, adding immense prestige and competitiveness to the league.
The opening ceremony and inaugural match were graced by Brigadier Amit, Commander Krishna Ghati Brigade, as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests included the Tehsildar Haveli, ZPEO Poonch, and the father of Rifleman (Late) Aurangzeb, along with several other civil dignitaries.
The event witnessed an overwhelming public response, with over 2,150 civilians in attendance, symbolizing the deep bond between the Indian Army and the local community. The Krishna Ghati Premier League continues to stand as a beacon of youth empowerment, talent recognition, and civil–military harmony, further strengthening the spirit of unity and goodwill under the noble initiative of Operation Sadbhavana.
