‘’Few moments in life are as powerful as standing on the stage of the school where you once sat as a student.”
Returning to the institution that shaped you, and standing on that stage once again — this time not with a school bag or a school uniform, but in a coat, carrying gratitude instead of books — is a feeling beyond words.
It is a moment filled with pride, nostalgia and deep thankfulness, reminding you how far the journey has come, yet how deeply your roots remain in the very place where it all began.
On the occasion of the Xavier Awards and the Women’s Day Celebration at St. Francis, I had the honour of addressing my young friends. My speech was simply about gratitude — to the teachers who shaped us, the institution that nurtured us, and the journeys that begin within these very classrooms.
A beautiful introduction, a grand welcome, and the honour bestowed by the school made the moment even more special and unforgettable.
