Mizoram's Goals Are Realized Through Superb Engineering. The 51 Km (32 mi) Bairabi–Sairang railway line, extending from Bairabi to Sairang, falls under the Northeast Frontier Railway. Incorporating 48 tunnels, 140+ bridges, and considerable hopes Mizoram's capital, Aizawl is now formally connected to the Indian Railways network.

🚉 Humanity on the Tracks: Train Halted for Safe Delivery 🚼 in India 🇮🇳.

A heartening moment unfolded in West Bengal when the Mumbai‑Howrah Mail made an unscheduled stop at Bagnan station to help a pregnant Bangladeshi woman deliver her baby safely aboard the train. 🌸

The expectant mother, Manjila Khatun from Satkhira district in Bangladesh, began labor pain after Kharagpur station.

The train’s ticket examiner and fellow passengers alerted authorities, prompting prompt action.

The train was brought to a halt at a station not in its regular schedule. With assistance from the railway authorities and passenger associations, an ambulance was ready when the train arrived.

Mother and baby were safely taken to a local nursing home and later transferred to a hospital in Kolkata for further care. Both are reported in stable condition. The baby was born prematurely.

Pakistan Railways has added 40 high-capacity, locally manufactured wagons to its fleet, following China's promise to provide manufacturing technology.

Unveiled at Lahore's Cantt Railway Station, these modern wagons can carry up to 70 tons and move containers efficiently.

The new wagons enable freight trains to run at 100 km/h, with 820 more expected by 2025-26.

INDIA'S FIRST TRAIN WITH AC COMPARTMENT!

The Golden Temple Mail was until September 1996 known as FRONTIER MAIL. Prior the Partition of India, it would run up to Peshawar on India's frontier with Afghanistan from which it derived its name.

During the autumn months between September and December, the train used to depart from the Ballard Pier Mole station. This was for the convenience of the British who arrived in India by steamer.

The Frontier Mail also finds a place in romanticised biographies of film actor Prithviraj Kapoor who is believed to have travelled to Bombay from his hometown of Peshawar by the Frontier Mail in 1928 to act in films. Hunterwali, probably India's first action heroine, has acted in the film Miss Frontier Mail.

The Frontier Mail was the first air conditioned train in the Indian Peninsula, when it got an air-conditioned compartment in 1934.

Chenab (Tallest ) Railway Bridge, Jammu and kashmir- India 🇮🇳

The two sides of the River will be joined by a humungous steel bridge, being constructed with 24,370 tonnes of steel at a height of 359 m above the riverbed.

Once constructed, this Rs 1,198 crore bridge will be the tallest railway bridge in the world, surpassing the record held by the Beipan river Shuibai railway bridge (at 275 m height) in China’s province.

It’s a bridge of hope that will narrow the gap between Jammu and the Valley.
