Mizoram's Goals Are Realized Through Superb Engineering. The 51 Km (32 mi) Bairabi–Sairang railway line, extending from Bairabi to Sairang, falls under the Northeast Frontier Railway. Incorporating 48 tunnels, 140+ bridges, and considerable hopes Mizoram's capital, Aizawl is now formally connected to the Indian Railways network.

🚉 Humanity on the Tracks: Train Halted for Safe Delivery 🚼 in India 🇮🇳.

A heartening moment unfolded in West Bengal when the Mumbai‑Howrah Mail made an unscheduled stop at Bagnan station to help a pregnant Bangladeshi woman deliver her baby safely aboard the train. 🌸

The expectant mother, Manjila Khatun from Satkhira district in Bangladesh, began labor pain after Kharagpur station.

The train’s ticket examiner and fellow passengers alerted authorities, prompting prompt action.

The train was brought to a halt at a station not in its regular schedule. With assistance from the railway authorities and passenger associations, an ambulance was ready when the train arrived.

Mother and baby were safely taken to a local nursing home and later transferred to a hospital in Kolkata for further care. Both are reported in stable condition. The baby was born prematurely.
